Develops machining process plans, operating procedures, inspection plans, fixtures, and manufacturing documentation for aerospace components. Improves machining processes, advises on design for manufacturability, defines GD&T and inspection methods, and investigates nonconforming hardware to identify root causes and corrective actions. Collaborates with engineering and design teams to deliver high-precision flight hardware.

Performs functional tests and inspections on avionics hardware before and after environmental testing. Conducts pneumatic leak tests, rate table testing, camera focusing, electrical bond measurements, and visual inspections. Follows technical procedures, operates test equipment safely in ESD and high-voltage environments, documents results, escalates abnormalities, and collaborates with vibration and thermal test teams. This entry-level role requires technical aptitude, basic electrical knowledge, attention to detail, and a strong safety mindset.

Perform computational fluid dynamics analyses supporting the design and qualification of rocket combustion hardware, including injectors, thrust chambers, heat exchangers, and igniters. Review test and flight data to validate models, collaborate with hardware designers, and apply fluid mechanics and heat-transfer expertise to influence designs. Develop analysis methods that reduce iteration time using meshing, boundary conditions, pre/post-processing, and engineering scripting.

Manage inbound and outbound shipping, order fulfillment, freight coordination, export documentation, customs brokerage, and international shipments. Classify shipments using HTS codes and ECCNs, develop dangerous goods and trade compliance procedures, package shipments, operate forklifts, maintain shipping areas, and resolve questions with internal and external partners. The role requires physical material handling, inventory accuracy, and process improvement in a fast-paced aerospace manufacturing environment.

Leads factory testing projects and initiatives, troubleshoots complex technical issues, oversees technician work, mentors team members, and collaborates with engineering to develop testing hardware, processes, and procedures. The role requires expertise in aerospace testing, materials, seals, and components, along with strong prioritization, leadership, safety, and problem-solving skills. This is a first-shift position in Long Beach, California, with a 50-hour workweek including guaranteed overtime.

Develop and own Relativity Space’s high-voltage lithium-ion battery system for the Terran R rocket. Responsibilities include deriving requirements, defining architecture and interfaces, selecting cells, coordinating mechanical, thermal, electrical, and BMS disciplines, owning battery safety, leading qualification and verification testing, conducting FMEA/FTA and reliability analysis, managing technical schedules and risks, supporting suppliers, and representing the battery system in design and safety reviews.

Partners with Engineering leaders to align people strategy with business priorities. Advises on organizational design, workforce planning, performance, change management, and employee relations; coaches leaders, supports high-performing teams, translates business insights into practical solutions, and communicates recommendations clearly. Requires 7+ years of progressive HR experience, including HR business partnering.

Owns end-to-end material planning for avionics hardware from development through production. Responsibilities include forecasting demand, analyzing BOMs and engineering changes, identifying long-lead risks, managing supplier material flow and shortages, allocating constrained components, supporting build readiness, and improving MRP and ERP planning accuracy. The role collaborates across engineering, sourcing, manufacturing, integration, testing, and launch teams.

Leads company-wide precision cleaning, contamination control, passivation, and special-process reliability for rocket hardware. Establishes process standards, qualification and validation frameworks, cleanliness criteria, inspection methods, technician certification, and governance. Scales clean-line capabilities from development through production, resolves complex contamination issues, leads root-cause investigations and corrective actions, and influences cross-functional engineering and manufacturing decisions while mentoring technical teams.

Develops, validates, and improves manufacturing test assets and processes for mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic rocket systems. Responsibilities include test equipment and tooling design, test sequencing, work orders, training, safety compliance, shop-floor support, test data analysis, root-cause investigations, and corrective actions. The engineer collaborates with design, manufacturing, production, supply chain, and quality teams to deliver scalable and reliable production testing.

Owns the design and evolution of scalable manufacturing and supply chain workflows, including MRP, procure-to-pay, material movement, factory automation, and change management. Builds technical infrastructure, integrations, and process-as-product solutions while improving data integrity, reliability, automation, and operational performance. Partners with manufacturing, supply chain, engineering, finance, and operations stakeholders to define requirements, implement changes, and establish governance, documentation, and technical standards.

Executes software testing and release tasks, writes Python automation for validation and artifact handling, supports release candidate publication and Run-for-Record campaigns, and assists with deployment validation, troubleshooting, CI/CD improvements, documentation, and data reviews under senior-engineer guidance.

Protect Relativity Space’s systems, people, and technical data by automating security operations, strengthening identity and access controls, implementing DLP, enabling secure development pipelines, and continuously enforcing CMMC and NIST controls. The role partners across IAM, cloud, AppSec, infrastructure, and GRC teams to investigate risks, remediate vulnerabilities, and improve security processes.

Owns forming operations for rocket primary structures, including roll forming and press brake process development. The role brings a large-sheet press brake work center online, creates work instructions and specifications, standardizes manufacturing processes, resolves shop-floor issues, provides design-for-manufacturing feedback, and leads process improvement projects. It requires engineering fundamentals in forming, metallic processing, mechanics of materials, inspection, GD&T, and aerospace manufacturing collaboration.

Designs, tests, and analyzes custom high-speed digital electronics for the Terran R launch vehicle. Owns hardware through the full lifecycle, including concept design, board bring-up, verification, qualification, manufacturing, integration, and vehicle operations. Collaborates with mechanical, thermal, electrical, software, propulsion, GNC, and other teams to deliver reliable avionics hardware on schedule.
