Position Summary

Collaborate with other Design, Product, and Development managers to ensure alignment across projects
• Proactively work with reports to ensure high quality designs and stakeholder satisfaction
• Collaborate with other Design Managers and Director on user experience strategy 
• Work with agile leadership to ensure Design team quality, efficiency and velocity meets team needs
• Develop deep understanding of customer journeys, personas and segmentation within your portfolio of projects
• Translate complex cognitive challenges across multiple projects into elegant user experiences delivered across multiple channels 
• Gain stakeholder support for designs by clearly communicating design vision and rationale
• Conceptualize, design and define breakthrough user experiences, drawing inspiration from research, user goals, and the world around you

Required Qualifications

Has a strong portfolio of work that includes exceptionally crafted desktop, native app design and mobile best practices

Has a minimum of 5 years’ experience in Desktop, native app design, including IxD and visual design
• Has proven experience in driving and delivering design from initial concepts to in-market experiences
• Has 3 years of experience leading design collaboration sessions with a range of stakeholders
• Has proven experience defining design direction, communicating rationale to a non-design audience, and successful advocacy for design decisions
• Is fluent in Figma
Ability to mentor junior designers 
• Strong portfolio of work including examples of mobile web, desktop and app experiences 
• Strong understanding of design system and component-based design 
• Strong understanding of native mobile and responsive web platforms and designing UI solutions within them 
• Ability to conceptualize, design, and deliver experiences. 
• Ability to communicate user needs and demonstrate how proposed designs solve those to internal team and other stakeholders. 
• Ability to collaborate with designers, strategists, managers, and technologists 
• Ability to collaborate with product owners, scrum masters and engineering teams within an agile process 
• Ability to present to senior stakeholders and build support UX work initiatives (Ability to direct the work of others) 
• Knowledge of user-centered design philosophy and process 
• Hands on experience with wire framing and prototyping tools 
• Attention to detail and passion for excellence

• Ability to work within design systems

Preferred Qualifications

The person occupying this role will work with a multidisciplinary design team to drive the digital experience for our consumers.

Candidates for this role demonstrate exceptional UX & UI design craft, Application and understanding of desktop & native platform best practices, creative problem-solving and curiosity, comfort navigating ambiguity, proactive collaboration, and good communication skills. They should feel comfortable working independently and take initiative to plan their work against a defined goal.

The person occupying this role will use a working knowledge of AI in the design thinking and design delivery process. They should feel comfortable applying data-driven design principles to guide product decisions and influence analytics strategy.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Design, User Experience, Graphic Design, Information Design, Product Design, Human Factors, or equivalent/relevant work experience

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$130,295.00 - $260,590.00


This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls.  The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.  This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.  This position also includes an award target in the company’s equity award program.
