Undertake comprehensive technical accounting research, review technical accounting memo documentation, and present detailed accounting considerations on complex matters to leadership. Apply U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) expertise to provide clear interpretations and advise on complex or judgmental matters. Coordinate the development, implementation, and maintenance of documented accounting policies and procedures across the Controllership organization. Confirm all reporting is in accordance with U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and other applicable regulatory requirements. Leverage the SEC EDGAR system to conduct in-depth analyses of public company filings, benchmark accounting treatments, and inform the application of complex accounting standards. Maintain SOX compliance, lead efforts to enhance internal controls, and implement process improvements and controls as needed. Analyze the impact of relevant technical guidance on company operations and transactions. Document accounting considerations and develop strategic resolutions to mitigate risks and enhance financial reporting accuracy. Recommend actionable plans to transform the accounting process and deliver training to relevant parties. Present detailed accounting considerations related to Accounting Standard Codification (ASC) 606 revenue recognition standards to stakeholders, ensuring compliance and accuracy.  Support the administration and accounting for stock compensation, derivative transactions, and business combinations. Conduct and review periodic goodwill impairment testing, ensuring thorough analysis and accurate reporting. Review financial statements and disclosures to verify accuracy and completeness. Develop strategic partnerships with external advisors to leverage industry insights and best practices. Serve as the primary point of contact for internal teams and external advisors on technical accounting matters. Ensure timely sign-off on technical accounting matters and foster strong communication and collaboration. The salary range is $98,946 - $149,364 per year. #LI-DNI

WORK SCHEDULE:  40 hours per week, M-F (9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.)

Bonus: Job eligible to participate in bonus plan: target 5%/yr. Bonuses are discretionary and not guaranteed.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Must have a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Business Administration, Commerce, Accounting, or a related field, and 6 years of post-bachelor’s, progressive related work experience.

Of the required experience, must have 4 years of experience with the following: Researching, documenting, implementing, and applying U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP); Interpreting and implementing accounting guidance and pronouncements across organizations including business combinations, Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A), ASC 842 lease accounting, and ASC 606 revenue recognition accounting; Drafting and reviewing financial statements, financial statement disclosures, and disclosures within the Management’s Discussion & Analysis (MD&A) section of a company’s quarterly and annual reports; Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB) Codification; and Utilizing the SEC EDGAR system.

Of the required experience, must have 3 years of experience with the following: Drafting technical accounting memos.

Of the required experience, must have 1 year of experience with the following: FloQast, AuditBoard, and Workiva; Equity Management System including Shareworks; Derivative Transaction Management Platforms including one of JPM Optimize or Bank of America Trade Manager.

Must have an active U.S. Certified Public Accountant license.

Telecommuting permitted 5 days a week, depending on business need.
