Job Description

We're seeking a Senior Manager, StratOps to join the Office of the COO/CPO. The role reports to the Senior Director and Chief of Staff to the CPO & COO. It is equal parts program owner and strategy and operations partner. You will run the operating rhythm of the office, turn data into fast answers that sharpen management decisions, and own the initiatives that need a clear driver to get done well.

This is a high-visibility role working directly with the CPO & COO, their leadership team, and partners across Communications, Corporate Strategy, Finance, and HR. You will help the office move faster and expand the CPO & COO’s impact as ServiceNow evolves to an AI-native future.

What you get to do in this role

  • Serve as a key partner to the Chief of Staff to the CPO & COO, running the operating rhythm of one of ServiceNow's most senior teams. Turn discussions into outcomes by capturing decisions, actions, and owners from forums and driving them through to resolution across functions.
  • Guide cross-portfolio and APEX-organization wide strategic and programmatic initiatives that need a clear driver from the Office of the CPO/COO, with strong project management discipline and ability to get things done across functions.
  • Be the go-to partner for rapid, evidence-based insight to inform key strategic and operational decisions. Pull the right data, validate hypotheses, size impact, and pressure-test proposals so CPO/COO walks into every decision armed with facts.
  • Help shape the CPO & COO's internal and external voice across channels, working closely with Communications on thought leadership strategy, speaking opportunities, and content preparation. Partner with the Customer Advocate team to build compelling executive and customer narratives.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role you have:

  • 7+ years of relevant work experience (or 4+ years post-MBA or equivalent), preferably in strategy and operations, management consulting, business operations, program management, or a Chief of Staff office at a technology company.
  • Experience in leveraging or critically thinking about how to integrate AI into work processes, decision-making, or problem-solving. This may include using AI-powered tools, automating workflows, reviewing AI-derived insights, or exploring AI's potential impact on the function or industry.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to turn incomplete data into a clear, defensible answer quickly. Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and BI tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
  • A proven track record of managing cross-functional programs end to end, from scoping through execution and closure.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, with experience building executive-level materials and narratives.
  • Ability to influence without authority and build trusted relationships with senior leaders and cross-functional partners.
  • •Sound judgment and discretion with proprietary information.
  • Self-starter who thrives in fast-paced environments and is willing to roll up their sleeves.
  • Knowledge of the SaaS space and enterprise software business models.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
