This role is based in our San Francisco, CA office and requires regular in-office presence in accordance with company policy.

Who You Are

Fellow is looking for a Senior Manager, Social Media, Influencers & Content to lead Fellow’s social media presence, content strategy, influencers and community engagement. This role is about more than just posting—it’s about building Fellow into the cultural conversation, amplifying organic moments, and creating content that drives engagement and brand love.

The goal isn’t just reach, impressions, or transactions. It’s to build a brand people want to talk about, share, follow, and be associated with. If you live and breathe digital storytelling, thrive on social trends, and know how to turn culture into content, this is your chance to shape the voice of one of the most beloved brands in specialty coffee.

Reporting to the Director of Integrated Marketing, you’ll serve as the connective tissue between social, content, creators, community, and culture—turning what’s happening in the world into ideas that make Fellow more relevant, talked about, and loved.

You bring a clear point of view, strong creative instincts, and an eye for what’s worth Fellow showing up for. You know when to jump on a cultural moment, when to create one of our own, and how to translate both into content that feels distinctly Fellow. You’ll work closely with our internal creative team, agency partners, creators, and influencers to bring ideas to life quickly and at a high creative bar.

This is a hands-on role. You’ll shape the strategy and build the systems, partnerships, and repeatable formats that grow Fellow’s presence—but you’ll also roll up your sleeves to make things happen. We’re looking for someone who can balance brand-building with speed, cultural instinct with business impact, and big ideas with scrappy execution.

What You’ll Do
  • Own and execute Fellow’s social media strategy—developing a compelling, consistent brand voice / expression across Instagram, TikTok, YouTube.
  • Manage the content calendar, ensuring a steady stream of high-quality, on-brand storytelling that educates, entertains and inspires.
  • Create cultural relevance. You know what’s happening online and in culture before it makes its way into the marketing trends decks. You’ll bring trends, talent, formats, conversations and cultural moments into the building and turn them into things Fellow can actually do, quickly.
  • Create brand buzz. Social, influencers, affiliates, partnerships and create all work together toward one goal: getting more people talking about Fellow because they genuinely want to.
  • Brand influencer and affiliate ecosystem. Build a network of creators, tastemakers, partners and affiliates who can drive the business while also making the brand more relevant. You’ll think beyond one-off sponsored posts and promo codes to create longer-term relationships, unexpected collaborations, cultural credibility and a community of people who genuinely want to be a part of Fellow.
  • Lead brand community. Engaging with customers, creators, and coffee enthusiasts to deepen relationships and spark conversations.
  • Curate and manage content creator and brand partnerships that align with Fellow’s values and aesthetic.
  • Oversee our influencer program. Briefing + managing our affiliate agency ensuring brand alignment across the creators, tastemakers, and cultural voices representing our brand.
  • Develop and launch content franchises—recurring content series that build engagement, brand identity, and audience loyalty that can be deployed across channels.
  • Spot and amplify organic cultural moments where Fellow is or can be part of the conversation in an authentic, meaningful way.
  • Collaborate with internal creative teams and external partners to produce compelling content, from short-form videos to in-depth storytelling.
  • Analyze performance metrics and optimize content strategy to drive reach, engagement, and conversion.
  • Identify emerging trends, platform shifts, and best practices to keep Fellow ahead of the curve.
Qualifications
  • 5-7+ years of experience in social media, content strategy, or brand marketing.
  • Proven experience managing a brand’s social presence and community at scale.
  • Strong writing, editing, and content development skills.
  • Familiarity with social media management tools and analytics platforms.
  • Basic knowledge of content creation tools (Figma, Adobe Suite, etc.).
  • Experience in lifestyle, coffee, food & beverage, or design-forward brands is a plus.
Why You’ll Love This Role
  • A creative, fast-moving environment where ideas turn into action
  • Competitive compensation including employee bonus and equity plan
  • Generous paid time off plan
  • 401k with company contribution after 6 months of employment
  • Medical/dental/vision insurance
  • Better Yourself Wellness credit & Better Your Community donation matching
  • Monthly Fitness Stipend
  • Summer Fridays
  • Paid Parental Leave
  • Generous discount on Fellow products
  • Best coffee anywhere

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
