Preferred Qualifications

  • 8-10 years of experience in sales learning delivery and meeting facilitation including utilization of various adult learning theory methods such as classroom, virtual, eLearning and the ADDIE process.
  • 5+ years experience leading a team of learning and development professionals
  • 3+ years of selling experience
  • Demonstrated success in both content development and delivery for a wide range of audiences from executive to individual contributor in topic areas including but not limited to leadership, business, and professional skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration or equivalent experience

 

 

Job Summary

Responsible for managing the research, design, development and delivery of learning curricula and job aids to meet the developmental objectives of the targeted audiences. Provide supervisory, instructional design and facilitation expertise for managers, internal learning teams, contractors, and others who support the development and delivery of learning curricula.

Major Tasks, Responsibilities, and Key Accountabilities

  • Collaborates with business leadership to create a learning vision and strategy aligned with achieving business priorities and goals.
  • Drives communication and marketing efforts to create learning adoption and resource awareness.
  • Works with learning resources across the company to develop and implement learning standards and processes for assessment, design, development, implementation and evaluation of learning.
  • Determines appropriate learning and development solutions and delivery methods based on varying stakeholders, systems infrastructure, and learning maturity of the organization.
  • Conducts learning and development needs analysis and develops learning objectives, instructional strategies, scope, timing, resource requirements and constraints analysis to design required curriculum..
  • Performs task and content analysis with subject matter experts to obtain the specific information to be included in the training and the expected deliverables.
  • Delivers/facilitates courses to a wide range of audiences with varying methodologies, including virtual instructor led, instructor led, self paced and blended solutions.
  • Consults and provides guidance to non-learning professionals conducting or developing training.
  • Determines appropriate measurement metrics to evaluate learning and development while leading learning and training governance efforts across the business.
  • Trains, supervises and mentors managers, specialists and/or contractors.

Nature and Scope

  • Solutions require analysis and investigation.
  • Achieves planned results by decisions and actions based on professional methods, business principles, and practical experience. May recommend/make decisions regarding new programs/initiatives that have significant impact to the business and carry consequences in unsuccessful endeavors.
  • Manages a larger team or multiple small teams through direction of subordinate management and/or supervisory staff.

Work Environment

  • Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
  • Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.
  • Typically requires overnight travel 5% to 20% of the time.

Education and Experience

  • Typically requires BS/BA in a related discipline. Generally 7+ years of experience in a related field. May require certification. Advanced degree may offset less experience in some disciplines.
