Samba connects the advertising industry. Today, a trillion dollars of media flows through platforms that don’t talk to each other, and each one measures its own results. We built the independent alternative: consented first-party data and AI that give the world’s biggest advertisers, publishers, and platforms one clear view across all of it.

The next era of advertising will run on AI agents, and those agents will need data they can trust. We’re building that foundation, and the agents that act on it. Join us and help build what the industry runs on.

About the Role
You lead a small, high-impact team delivering measurement studies and proactive insights to key accounts, while managing a small portfolio of your own key accounts and partnering with senior business development leaders to shape measurement strategy. Accounts are largely in Media & Entertainment, supporting TV networks, streaming services, and movie studios, and may include automotive or pharmaceutical clients. You work with Samba's first-party TV dataset.

What You'll Do
  • Lead the Team: Manage, coach, mentor, and grow a team of three high-performing, high-potential Measurement Partners.
  • Run Delivery: Manage day-to-day workflow and own key deliverables for the team's measurement studies and proactive insights.
  • Own Key Accounts: Own end-to-end strategy, delivery, and fulfillment for a small portfolio of one to two key accounts.
  • Be the Escalation Path: Act as a strategic and operational escalation path for the accounts in your direct reports' portfolios.
  • Shape Measurement Strategy: Work closely with sales leaders to define opportunities for proactive outreach and insights delivery to key customers, and help shape measurement strategy.

What You Bring
  • 5+ years in consumer insights, audience insights, marketing analytics, or measurement science, preferably supporting a marketing or content development team at a major entertainment studio (such as Disney, Netflix, or Hulu).
  • Familiarity with TV and movie measurement solutions, including box office measurement, tune-in measurement, and audience and content measurement, research, and insights.
  • Familiarity with data analysis and visualization tools: SQL, Python, and BigQuery.
  • Familiarity with and enthusiasm for building with AI, including Claude and Google Suite.
  • Storytelling is your superpower: you are obsessed with turning data into insights and insights into stories that help customers solve pain points and answer questions.
  • Obsessed with the media industry, with a deep curiosity and passion for media, entertainment, film, and TV, and likely experience in entertainment roles such as marketing teams at TV networks or movie studios.
  • Growth-oriented and service-minded: you have a clear growth path in your life and career, get excited about supporting and serving customers, and actively seek ways to help them solve their challenges.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
