The Marketing Technology (MarTech) Senior Manager serves as the strategic and operational connector between Marketing and Technology, ensuring marketing teams are enabled by the right platforms, integrations, and capabilities. This role translates marketing needs into clear business epics and feature requirements, manages and optimizes the existing martech stack strategy, and supports the evaluation and rollout of new martech solutions to drive efficiency, personalization, and measurable business outcomes.

 

The ideal candidate combines strong marketing context, technical fluency, and structured product thinking, and is comfortable operating across strategy, execution, and enablement. This is a Sr Manager‑level role focused on outcomes and marketing enablement, not just tool administration.


Duties and Responsibilities:

Business Epics & Feature Definition 

  • Partner with marketing stakeholders to translate business needs into clear problem statements, features, and requirements (formats in keeping with agile methodology per IT). 
  • Partner with IT Product Management to write well-scoped user stories with acceptance criteria suitable for engineering delivery.
  • Help define success metrics and measurable outcomes for martech features. 
  • Maintain and prioritize the overall Marketing backlog in partnership with Marketing Stakeholders and IT; collaborate with IT Product Managers to track progress, surface risks and dependencies, and support on‑time delivery.
  • Support roadmap planning, sequencing, and dependency management. 

 

Martech Strategy & Enablement 

  • Partner with marketing teams to ensure platforms align with experience and growth goals.
  • Ensure tools are configured and used to support campaign execution, personalization, journey orchestration, and measurement through clear advocacy and documentation. 
  • Identify gaps, inefficiencies, or redundancies in current tools and processes, help identify areas for automation / AI tools.
  • Develop and maintain Marketing AI roadmap for capabilities that impact customer experience. 


Martech Operations & Governance 

  • Manage strategy for marketing technology platforms across content & experience, customer and campaign execution, and measurement and insights. 
  • Support integrations and data flows between systems. 
  • Help define and document martech processes, standards, and best practices, participate in scoping / contracting when needed.
  • Partner with IT, Security, and Compliance to support scalable and compliant usage. 
  • Maintain documentation and usage guidelines to drive adoption and consistency within Marketing teams of new platforms, tools, etc. 


Martech Innovation & Evaluation 

  • Research and evaluate emerging martech solutions aligned to business needs. 
  • Support vendor discovery, demos, and proof-of-concepts. 
  • Partner with stakeholders to assess value, effort, and integration considerations. 
  • Assist with tool onboarding, training, and change management. 


Cross-Functional Collaboration 

  • Act as the primary martech point of contact between Marketing and IT Product Management. 
  • Partner with Analytics to ensure tools support measurement, insights, and reporting needs. 
  • Collaborate with teams to align platform capabilities with campaign and experience goals. 

Skills and Competencies:

  • Strong experience translating marketing needs into business epics, features, and user stories. 
  • Hands-on experience managing or supporting a martech stack (CMS, CDP, MAP, experimentation, analytics, etc.).
  • Experience working with engineering teams and agile delivery models. 
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to bridge business and technical audiences. 


Minimum Qualifications:

  •  7+ years of experience in marketing technology, marketing operations, or digital product roles. 
  • HR include standard info.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in enterprise or multi-platform martech environments. 
  • Familiarity with APIs, integrations, and data flows. 
  • Experience supporting personalization, experimentation, or customer journey tools. 
  • Background in eCommerce and lead-generation marketing.
  • Exposure to vendor evaluation or RFP processes.
