By fusing data across blockchains, exchanges, social networks, and markets, our platform delivers market surveillance, ecosystem monitoring, and counter–illicit finance intelligence to help clients manage risk and make better decisions. We operate as a fast-paced, fully remote, global tech team driven by an asynchronous-first workflow, minimal meetings, and logic over authority. Here, you'll collaborate with top-tier intelligence analysts, defense veterans, data engineers, quant researchers, and linguists to solve complex global challenges.

Role Overview: We are seeking an experienced Senior Manager, Lawfare to spearhead high-stakes blockchain investigations, direct complex litigation support, and partner closely with legal counsel. This role demands a rare hybrid skill set: deep technical mastery in on-chain tracing and dark web intelligence, a proven track record of testifying or serving as an expert witness, and the project management rigor to lead cross-functional dispute strategies end-to-end.

Key Responsibilities

  • Blockchain & Cyber Forensic Investigations: Oversee deep-dive on-chain tracing, asset tracking, and crypto forensic analysis. Integrate dark web intelligence, cyber data, and off-chain data points to support complex disputes and litigation.
  • Legal Drafting & Expert Testimony: Draft clear, comprehensive investigative reports, witness declarations, and legal exhibits tailored for court proceedings and legal teams. Serve as an expert witness or key testimonial support on targeted legal matters.
  • Project & Case Management: Manage end-to-end investigative workflows for ongoing disputes, ensuring tight coordination among internal teams, outside counsel, law enforcement, and external partners.
  • Lawfare & Litigation Strategy: Translate complex technical, cryptographic, and cyber findings into actionable legal intelligence, tactical lawfare strategy, and plain-language summaries for court submission.

Required Qualifications

  • Professional Experience: Minimum 7+ years of professional experience in crypto investigations, law enforcement, dispute/forensic consulting, specialized intelligence, or crypto-focused organizations.
  • Direct Testifying Experience: Proven track record of giving testimony, submitting official sworn declarations, or serving as an expert witness in legal or regulatory proceedings.
  • Technical Proficiency: Extensive hands-on experience with major blockchain analytics tools (e.g., Chainalysis, Elliptic, TRM Labs) along with dark web intelligence and cyber investigation methodologies.
  • Project Management Expertise: Demonstrated ability to lead multi-track legal, investigative, or consulting projects under tight deadlines.
  • Legal Writing Mastery: Exceptional skill in translating dense technical data into clear, court-ready reports, affidavits, and declarations.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Formal litigation support, legal operations, or dispute resolution background.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or Agile certifications.
  • Formal crypto/forensic certifications (e.g., CFE, CCI, Chainalysis Certified).

Why Join Us?

  • We operate in a fully remote, high-trust environment and prioritize impact and delivered results over hours logged.
  • We offer competitive compensation paired with a comprehensive benefits suite, including medical, dental, vision, and 401(k).
  • We invest in our people through childcare and wellness stipends and dedicated employee assistance resources.
  • Join a thought leader at the intersection of national security and digital assets, working with cutting-edge tech that defines the field.

Inclusion & Equal Opportunity: As a veteran-owned company, Inca Digital thrives on diverse perspectives, specifically across race, gender, neurodivergence, and veteran status, to solve complex data challenges. We are an Equal Opportunity Employer; all qualified applicants receive consideration without regard to protected status, including disability or national origin.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
