Description

WHO WE ARE

Come join the company at the center of how the world adopts AI securely. Cyera’s mission is to give enterprises the confidence to embrace AI safely — deciding exactly what it can see and do as it reaches deeper into the business. We started by solving the hardest problem in data security: finding and securing data faster and more precisely than anyone thought possible. That foundation is now the essential AI trust infrastructure for the Fortune 1000. We’re hiring mission-driven talent to put those leaders at the center of our story.

THE OPPORTUNITY

We are hiring a Director of Executive Keynotes to shape how Cyera's leaders show up on the biggest stages across Security and AI. You will report to the Head of Brand and Communications and work closely with Cyera’s leadership.

You will build and own the keynote and speaking program from first idea to final slide. You will turn Cyera's research, product vision, and customer proof into talks that move rooms and set the agenda for the category. You will build thought leadership that earns attention and gives our executives a point of view the market remembers.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Executive keynotes. Lead the strategy, narrative, and production of keynotes for our senior leaders. Own the full arc, from theme and story structure to scripts, slides, rehearsal, and delivery. Make every keynote clear, human, and ambitious.
  • Speaking at Cyera internal and external events. Build and run the executive speaking program for customer conferences and other flagship events. Shape the main stage program, including opening and closing keynotes, fireside chats, customer sessions, and panels. Work with Events, Product Marketing, and Creative to give every session a place in one coherent story. Coach speakers, including customers and partners, to deliver their best.
  • External speaking program. Partner with the External Comms team to support our executive speaking at industry conferences, analyst events, and media forums. Prepare the content for leaders, so they arrive with a sharp message and a clear goal.
  • Narrative and message architecture. Keep one platform-level story across Data Security, Agent Security, and Identity Security. Build a living library of core narratives, proof points, customer stories, and data that every executive can draw on. Make sure the message stays consistent from the main stage to the press room.
  • Executive partnership. Work closely with executives to learn their voice, strengths, and perspectives. Help each leader develop a distinct point of view that is authentic to them and aligned to Cyera. Give direct, constructive feedback.
Requirements

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 8 to 12 years of experience in executive communications, keynote development, speechwriting, product marketing, or corporate communications. B2B technology or enterprise security experience is a plus.
  • A record of building keynotes and executive narratives for major stages. Experience with flagship events such as Dreamforce, Team, RSA, or similar is a plus.
  • Exceptional writing and storytelling craft. You can draft, edit, and shape a story yourself and raise the work of others.
  • Experience building thought leadership programs that earned real reach, whether through speaking, bylines, media, or social.
  • Strong presentation instincts. You know how to structure a talk, pace a story, and design slides that support the speaker instead of crowding them. Proficiency in Keynote, Google Slides, or similar tools.
  • Experience coaching senior executives, including at the C-suite, and earning their trust.
  • Strong project leadership. You manage many moving parts, tight deadlines, and high-visibility moments with calm.
  • The ability to turn complex technical ideas into clear, human language that earns credibility with CISOs and boards.
  • AI fluency. You know where AI tools fit in research, drafting, and production, and you use them to raise quality and speed together.
  • Stakeholder skills. You build trust across marketing, product, sales, research, and executive teams, and you hold a point of view while balancing competing priorities.
  • Operating principles that match ours (push boundaries, own and act, elevate together) and a collaborative style that matches ours.
  • Willingness to travel for events, about 20 to 30 percent of the time.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
