The Role

As the Senior Manager, Internal Communications, you'll be a pivotal force in shaping our company's narrative and ensuring every employee feels informed, connected, and aligned with Pantheon's vision and evolving priorities. Reporting into the SVP of People, you'll be instrumental in developing and executing communication strategies that not only foster a vibrant culture but also drive understanding and adoption through periods of change.

📍 This is a remote position open to candidates based in the United States 

What You Need to Succeed

  • Develop & Execute Strategic Internal Communications: Design, implement, and manage comprehensive internal communication plans that champion company objectives, cultural initiatives, and employee engagement. You'll ensure our messaging is cohesive, impactful, and resonates across our global workforce.
  • Lead Executive Communications & Thought Leadership: Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leaders, crafting compelling executive messages, presentations for All Hands, town halls, and internal thought leadership pieces. You'll help leaders articulate their vision, provide critical updates, and foster a strong connection with their teams.
  • Drive Change Management Communications: Strategically plan and execute communication strategies for significant organizational changes. You'll ensure employees understand the why, what, and how of change, fostering buy-in and minimizing disruption.
  • Manage Communication Channels & Content: Oversee and optimize our internal communication channels, ensuring content is relevant, engaging, and delivered effectively to target audiences. You'll also identify new, innovative ways to reach and connect with employees.
  • Facilitate Cross-Functional Alignment: Collaborate closely with People (HRBPs, Talent Development, Employee Experience), Marketing, Product, Engineering, and other departments to ensure consistent messaging, coordinated communication efforts, and a unified voice across the company.
  • Measure Effectiveness & Iterate: Utilize analytics, employee feedback, and sentiment analysis to measure the reach and impact of internal communication efforts. You'll use these insights to continuously refine strategies and ensure our communications are landing effectively.
  • Champion Company Culture: Act as an ambassador for Pantheon's values and culture, using strategic internal communications to reinforce our unique identity and foster a positive, inclusive, and high-performing work environment.

What You Bring to the Table

We're looking for a highly strategic and experienced internal communications professional with a proven track record of effectively managing communications for senior leaders and guiding organizations through significant change.

Education: Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, Public Relations, or a related field.

  • 8+ years of progressive experience in Internal Communications, Corporate Communications, or Employee Engagement roles, with at least 2-3 years in a management or lead capacity.
  • Demonstrated success in developing and executing executive communication strategies, including writing for and advising C-suite or very senior leadership.
  • Extensive experience designing and implementing communication plans for organizational change initiatives.
  • Proven ability to craft clear, concise, and compelling content for diverse internal audiences and platforms.
  • Experience working in a rapidly evolving SaaS or technology company is highly preferred.

  • Exceptional Executive Communication: Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail, grammar, and persuasive storytelling. Proven ability to distill complex information into clear, executive-ready messages.
  • Change Management Communications Expertise: Deep understanding of change management principles and the ability to design communications that effectively guide employees through transitions, build understanding, and mitigate resistance.
  • Program & Project Management: Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, meet tight deadlines, and adapt quickly to changing priorities.
  • Collaboration & Influence: Proven ability to build strong relationships and collaborate effectively with senior leaders, cross-functional partners, and employees at all levels.
  • Business Acumen: Solid understanding of business operations and how strategic internal communications contribute directly to organizational success, employee engagement, and cultural strength.
  • Results-Oriented & Analytical: Ability to track and analyze communication effectiveness using data and feedback, continuously refining approaches to optimize impact.
  • Adaptability & Resilience: Comfortable thriving in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and able to pivot quickly to address emerging communication needs and challenges.

The base salary range for this role is $153,800–$186,064 USD

This position also offers a performance bonus dependent on company performance. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location.
