This position will report to the Director, FP&A (GTM) and will enjoy a high level of executive visibility and impact to our rapidly-growing startup.

You will play a critical role in shaping the company's financial strategy and long term success where you’ll act as the strategic finance advisor to our General Manager. This role will work closely with the GM and leadership teams to lead strategic initiatives and provide decision making support, identify actionable insights to drive asset allocation decisions, mitigate risks and highlight opportunities, and work cross functionally on critical projects across the GTM team. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, a deep understanding of financial principles, a growth mindset with strong curiosity about our business and industry, the ability to work collaboratively across departments and have a proven track record of providing superior financial and strategic analysis. We value strategic insight, at all levels of the organization, and will depend on you to achieve the extraordinary! You will be empowered to challenge the status quo, dream big and have a massive impact.

About You:

We move at a fast pace, which will bring constant change, complexity and ambiguity. Titans will thrive on this, need to exhibit a growth mindset, and be comfortable being uncomfortable. Those that succeed at ServiceTitan have very similar traits. Before applying, consider if you have the following:

  • Have passion for what you do - care about entrepreneurship and changing lives

  • Can bring your best - we empower each other to exceed expectations and care more about learning than ego

  • Can achieve the extraordinary - we value results and impact. We excel through a performance culture, but will have a ton of fun along the way

  • Be resilient and resourceful in the face of ambiguity and thrive on this

  • Endure and thrive in an unrelenting pace - we have sky high ambitions

What you'll do:

  • Act as the primary finance business partner and strategic advisor to our General Manager, providing financial leadership across the P&L

  • Conduct comprehensive financial analysis to support strategic decision making, including building robust financial frameworks to drive decision making support

  • Act as a trusted business partner as the leadership team will rely on you to provide insights that drive key business strategies, highlighting opportunities for continued growth, and mitigating any potential risks

  • Partner cross functionally - you will have the opportunity to work cross-functionally across many departments to tackle complex projects that span across the GTM organization

  • Collaborate with the General Manager and leadership teams to establish and monitor key performance indicators

What You'll Need:

  • 8+ years of experience in financial planning and analysis, preferably from a SaaS tech company in a finance/strategy role or a top management consulting firm (CPA or MBA preferred). We are looking for candidates that have worked in high-performance teams using complex modeling to discover business insights

  • Must possess a growth mindset - be endlessly curious to solve complex challenges and thrive while navigating the ambiguity

  • Strong experience in financial modeling and strategic business planning, including the creation and execution of robust financial plans

  • Superior written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely

  • Proven track record and ability to work cross-functionally, while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced and ambiguous environment

  • Be a self-starter, possessing a solutions oriented mindset

  • Experience with detailed systems (ie. Adaptive, Workday, Intacct) to ensure accurate and scalable reporting

  • Knowledge of SQL (or other data querying languages) is a plus

  • Familiarity with creating visualizations (through Tableau, Looker Studio, Power BI) is a plus

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
