Roblox seeks a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior Manager to join our communications team. This role will be pivotal in shaping and amplifying the voice of Roblox's executives, including messaging docs, social media content, and communications strategy. The ideal candidate will be a skilled writer, possess excellent judgment, understand the changing media landscape, have strong media relationships, and thrive in a fast-paced environment. You will work closely with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to craft compelling narratives, manage executive communications, and execute engaging social media strategies that resonate with our global community.

Role is based in our San Mateo, CA office from Tuesday-Thursday (remote Monday and Friday) 

You will:

  • Develop and execute executive communications strategies that align with the company's overall business objectives. 
  • Craft and refine executive messaging for various platforms, including speeches, presentations, social posts, internal communications, and external publications.
  • Help prepare executives for media interviews, public speaking engagements, and investor relations activities, ensuring consistent and impactful messaging. Provide feedback/analysis. 
  • Manage and coordinate executive communications/editorial/social calendars and ensure timely delivery of all materials.
  • Create and curate engaging social media content, including text, images, and videos.

You have:

  • 10+ years of experience in communications, ideally focused on executive visibility and broadcast television
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing corporate communications plans aligning internal, external, and partner communications against business priorities
  • Ability to forge relationships across the business
  • Self-motivation and willingness to roll your sleeves up to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment
  • Relationships with key journalists and influencers in tech and business press
  • Confidence in front of key stakeholders and quick thinking
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • An appetite for creating news

For roles that are based at our headquarters in San Mateo, CA: The starting base pay for this position is as shown below. The actual base pay is dependent upon a variety of job-related factors such as professional background, training, work experience, location, business needs and market demand. Therefore, in some circumstances, the actual salary could fall outside of this expected range. This pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. All full-time employees are also eligible for equity compensation and for benefits.

Annual Salary Range

$224,070$259,390 USD

Roles that are based in our San Mateo, CA Headquarters are in-office Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, with optional in-office on Monday and Friday (unless otherwise noted).
