This search is for one of Promentrs' clients, a fast-growing, better-for-you consumer beverage brand. They're looking for a Senior Manager, Demand Planning to strengthen and scale their forecasting and S&OP processes as the business grows.
Job Description
As the Senior Manager, Demand Planning, you'll lead the integration of demand planning into our client's sales forecasting, financial forecasting, and revenue management processes. Reporting to the Chief Supply Chain Officer, you'll own the sales and depletions forecasts, lead the monthly Demand Review, and build cross-functional consensus on the assumptions that drive results. This role suits someone who thrives in a fast-paced, startup-style environment and has led demand planning transformation before, ideally in the beverage category.
Demand Planning & Analytics
- Build driver-based sales and depletions forecasts (volume and value) by analyzing shipments, depletions, and retail scan data
- Lead monthly cross-functional Market Clinics to align Sales, Marketing, Strategy, and Finance on forecast drivers
- Develop forecasts for new product launches and renovations as input to the product review process
- Analyze short-term orders against weekly forecasts to guide actions with Sales and Supply Planning
Demand Review & S&OP Leadership
- Lead the monthly Demand Review to reach consensus forecasts across a 12–18 month planning horizon
- Align stakeholders on actions to capture opportunities and reduce risks
- Provide SKU-level forecasts to Supply Planning and support the monthly Supply Review
- Prepare and present demand updates for the monthly S&OP Executive Review
Forecast Performance & KPIs
- Own forecast accuracy and bias KPIs, and use them to improve forecast models and analytics
- Share performance against KPIs with retail and distribution partners
- Work with Supply Planning and Finance on inventory policy based on expected forecast performance
Leadership & Development
- Lead and develop a small team of analysts
- Build demand planning capability across the business and foster strong cross-functional engagement
- 7+ years of experience in demand planning, forecasting, and integrated business planning, including leading a transformation (startup experience preferred)
- Beverage or CPG experience strongly preferred
- Previous people leadership experience
- Experience implementing demand planning software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, JDA, or similar)
- Advanced Excel and strong data analysis skills
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, including presenting to executives
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Research, Management Sciences, or a related field (Master's preferred)
- Demonstrated proficiency withAI tools is required, including active use of Claude Cowork; candidates should be comfortable leveraging AI to streamline workflows, automate routine tasks, analyze financial data, and enhance productivity across accounting and finance functions.
