About the Opportunity:

The Senior Manager of Communications is responsible for shaping and elevating Pursuit Aerospace’s narrative across internal and external audiences. This leader will develop a cohesive storytelling strategy that highlights Pursuit Aerospace’s mission, values, technological innovation, and growth trajectory. They will serve as a key guardian of the company’s voice, ensuring unified and impactful messaging across all communication channels.

Location: Remote, Travel is expected to be about 25% if remote, will be less if located in Connecticut

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive communication strategy that clearly articulates Pursuit Aerospace’s story, culture, and long-term vision.
  • Craft engaging narratives for executive communications, marketing materials, press releases, digital content, social media, and customer-facing messaging.
  • Partner closely with executive leadership to position the company’s brand, milestones, and transformation initiatives.
  • Lead proactive storytelling efforts, identifying opportunities to highlight innovation, operations excellence, employee achievements, and strategic partnerships.
  • Manage internal communications programs that strengthen employee engagement, alignment, and cultural cohesion.
  • Oversee media relations strategy, including drafting press materials, coordinating interviews, and cultivating relationships with key industry outlets.
  • Ensure consistent voice and message discipline across all internal and external channels.
  • Partner with HR, Marketing, and Operations to support change management communications and narrative frameworks.
  • Track communication performance metrics and continuously optimize content strategy.
  • Manage communication tools, platforms, and resources to modernize and enhance reach and effectiveness.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Marketing, or relevant field; 
  • 8+ years of progressive experience in corporate communications, preferably in aerospace, manufacturing, or technology-driven environments.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis without sponsorship now or in the future. The Company cannot offer employment to visa holders who require employer sponsorship in the future or cannot work now on a full-time basis.
  • Must be able to perform work subject to ITAR/EAR regulations.

  • Exceptional storytelling, writing, and editing skills with a proven ability to craft compelling narratives.
  • Experience supporting executive-level communication programs.
  • Strong understanding of brand voice development and message architecture.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional communication initiatives.
  • Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, engaging content.
  • Strong project management skills and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high‑growth environment.
  • Strategic mindset with an ability to see both the big picture and detail-level execution.
  • High emotional intelligence and strong partnership-building skills.
  • Creative thinker with the ability to bring abstract concepts to life through narrative.
  • Confident communicator with polished presentation skills.
  • Comfortable working under pressure with tight deadlines and multiple priorities.

Working Conditions

  • Must be able to have prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. 
  • Must be able to frequently sit, stand and walk. 
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 15 pounds. 
  • Personal protective equipment (e.g., safety glasses and safety shoes) is required on the shop floor
  • Occasional weekend and evening work may be required to accommodate priorities, deadlines, and schedules.
