Role Overview

We're looking for a Brand & PR Manager to shape Acceldata's perception in the market and to lead the earned-media programs that carry that perception. The role spans two connected areas:

  1. Brand Management driving our narrative, messaging, and how consistently the brand shows up worldwide, and

  2. Public Relations — working with our PR agencies, maintaining the communications calendar, and media programs across regions.

You'll ensure every region tells a coherent story, that our category narrative and points of view take hold in the market, and that we're winning share of voice against competitors.

    Brand Management

Own how Acceldata is positioned and perceived - the narrative, the messaging, and the standards that keep the brand consistent everywhere it appears.

    • Brand narrative & messaging. Own the master brand narrative, messaging frameworks, and value propositions. Maintain messaging architecture and talking points, and keep brand expression consistent across regions, channels, and campaigns.

    • Category narrative. Drive market adoption of Acceldata's category narrative — ensuring our category language and points of view are consistently reflected in content, media coverage, and campaigns. Track whether analysts, media, and competitors begin adopting our framing, and feed that back into messaging.

    • Brand identity & standards. Steward the visual and verbal identity — voice, tone, logo usage, and design standards. Maintain and govern brand guidelines, and ensure internal teams, agencies, and partners apply them consistently.

    • Brand measurement & perception. Establish and maintain a consistent methodology for measuring brand visibility and perception across regions.

    • Benchmark our standing against competitors and against the specific points of view we're driving into the market. Report on share of voice, sentiment, message pull-through, and coverage quality on a regular cadence, and translate findings into recommendations.

    • Brand consistency & governance. Act as the guardian of the brand - reviewing external materials for alignment and resolving inconsistencies across teams and regions.

    • Public Relations

Lead the earned-media and communications programs that put the brand and its narrative in front of the market.

      • Agency management. Direct and coordinate the day-to-day activities of our PR agencies operating across regions (e.g., North America, EMEA, India).

      • Set priorities, brief agencies on narratives and campaigns, review outputs, and hold each partner accountable to shared KPIs.

      • Communications calendar. Build and maintain a rolling communications calendar with both month-over-month and quarter-over-quarter views, giving leadership and stakeholders forward visibility into the key stories, launches, and campaigns we're pushing. Sequence announcements so nothing collides and momentum builds toward key business events.

      • Content & announcements. Work with our agencies to develop press releases, media pitches, bylines, op-eds, and award submissions. Prepare spokespeople with talking points and Q&A.

      • Regional consistency. Ensure regional PR execution stays aligned to one global brand narrative while allowing for local nuance.

      • News Monitoring. Monitor social media and other media for news and announcements that are relevant to Acceldata. Identify angles and points of view and share with PR agencies.

    What Success Looks Like
    • One coherent brand narrative and identity executed consistently across every region.

    • Our category narrative and points of view are visibly associated with Acceldata and increasingly used by media, analysts, and competitors.

    • Measurable growth in share of voice and improved sentiment versus competitors.

    • A steady, well-sequenced flow of high-quality earned media in priority markets.

    • Brand standards are understood and consistently applied by internal teams, agencies, and partners.

    Qualifications
    • 6+ years in brand management, PR, or corporate communications in B2B tech/enterprise software/data & AI.

    • Proven experience owning brand narrative, messaging, and brand standards.

    • Proven experience managing external PR agencies, ideally across multiple regions.

    • Track record of landing earned media and building share of voice.

    • Strong writing and editorial judgment; comfortable operating at an executive level.

    • Data-literate: Able to define and report on brand and communications metrics.

    • Nice to Have
      • Experience in the data platform, observability, or agentic AI space.

      • Experience supporting category creation or category-narrative programs.

      • Existing relationships with tier-1 tech media.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
