Fox TV Stations

FOX Television Stations owns and operates 29 full power broadcast television stations in the U.S. These include stations located in 14 of the top 15 largest designated market areas, or DMAs, and duopolies in 11 DMAs, including the three largest DMAs (New York, Los Angeles and Chicago). Of these stations, 18 are affiliated with the FOX Network. In addition to distributing sports, entertainment and syndicated content, our television stations collectively produce approximately 1,200 hours of local news every week. These stations leverage viewer, distributor and advertiser demand for the FOX Network’s national content.

JOB DESCRIPTION

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Manager of Advanced Analytics to lead our data analytics team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and optimizing data pipelines, reports, and visualizations in Snowflake and Tableau. This role will support data-driven decision-making across the organization, and foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong technical expertise and leadership skills to manage and develop data proficiency among teammates and colleagues.

Key Responsibilities:

Data Analytics and Insights:

  • Lead the development of advanced analytics models and dashboards to provide actionable insights and support strategic decision-making.
  • Oversee the collection, analysis, and interpretation of large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities.
  • Ensure data quality, integrity, and security across all analytics processes.

Data Management:

  • Manage relationships with internal and external partner teams to ensure timely and relevant data delivery and processing.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with business objectives.
  • Implement best practices in data management to enhance efficiency and productivity.

Data Pipeline Development:

  • Design, develop, and maintain robust data pipelines using Snowflake and AWS to ensure efficient data flow and accessibility.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and implement scalable solutions.
  • Optimize data architecture and processes for performance, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.

People Development and Management:

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of data analysts and analytics engineers.
  • Foster a collaborative and inclusive team environment that encourages professional growth and development.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews, set clear objectives, and provide constructive feedback. 

Collaboration and Communication:

  • Build strong relationships with key stakeholders across the organization to understand their data needs and challenges.
  • Facilitate cross-departmental collaboration to leverage data insights for business improvement.
  • Present complex data findings in a clear and concise manner to non-technical audiences.

Analytics Leadership:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive data analytics strategy aligned with organizational goals.
  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends and emerging technologies to drive innovation and maintain a competitive edge.
  • Communicate insights and recommendations to senior leadership and stakeholders effectively.

Other duties as deemed necessary and assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field.
  • Proven experience (5+ years) in data analytics, with a focus on developing data pipelines using Snowflake and AWS.
  • Experience working with streaming video and advertising sales sources strongly preferred.
  • Proficiency in data visualization tools (Tableau) and programming languages (e.g., SQL, Python).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically and analytically.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills, with experience in building and developing high-performing teams.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
  • Experience in project management and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in a management role within a data analytics function.
  • Knowledge of machine learning techniques and their application in business contexts.
  • Certification in AWS and/or Snowflake is a plus.

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay rate/range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is $150,000.00-180,000.00 annually. This role is also eligible for various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
