The role
Raydar is recruiting for this role on behalf of our client. Handle significant commercial disputes for repeat business clients, covering motion work, discovery and court appearances, with a defined path toward leading matters and trying cases. The role offers growing autonomy and the chance to build a client book.
What you'll do
- Write and argue pretrial motions, both dispositive and discovery-related, before state and federal courts.
- Manage discovery from start to finish, including written requests and responses and both taking and defending depositions.
- Attend court hearings and appearances while working toward first-chair trial experience.
- Take ownership of individual matters with increasing independence on the way to a lead attorney role.
- Develop client relationships and bring in new business.
Requirements
What we're looking for
- 6 to 8 years of commercial litigation experience at a reputable mid-size or larger firm.
- Active California State Bar license.
- JD from an ABA-accredited law school.
- Substantial motion practice experience, including the related hearings.
- Real estate litigation experience.
- A strong desire to build trial skills and ultimately serve as lead attorney.
- Living within commuting distance of the office and comfortable with a hybrid schedule.

- Base salary: USD 225,000 to 275,000 per year
