As a Senior Software Developer on the Investments and Risk team, you'll take ownership of key product components—driving their design, development, testing, and long-term sustainability. Your deep front-end architectural knowledge will help establish best practices and guide the creation of robust, scalable systems that power one of the most heavily used areas of our Copperleaf product.

The Investments and Risks team is responsible for the fundamental building blocks of capital planning in Copperleaf Portfolio. We own the features that allow users to create and manage investment records, define milestones, evaluate alternatives, and capture the full lifecycle of capital initiatives—from ideation through to business case refinement. On the Risks side, we enable organizations to raise, track, and assess strategic and operational risks through configurable risk registers, providing a quantitative foundation for risk-aware planning.

Our team is currently focused on modernizing our technology stack as we migrate from .NET Framework to .NET. This work includes replacing legacy ASPX and AngularJS with modern Angular components, using data-driven UI components to reduce the effort in writing front-end solutions, and introducing the latest Angular best-practices to our codebase. While extensive experience with ASPX or AngularJS is not required for this position, an ability to find efficiencies and patterns in upgrading the tech-stack is important.

A critical component of your responsibilities as a Senior Lead Developer will be leadership: both in technical leadership of a project and people leadership in the form of mentoring those in and outside of the team. We will rely on your ability to take ownership and work collaboratively with others to get things done.

You have the following background, although we also recognize that talent comes in many forms:  

• Development of web UI components and front-end architecture using Angular
• Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript
• Some knowledge of ASPX and AngularJS
• Some knowledge of C#, Microsoft .NET, or Microsoft .NET Framework
• Experience leading and mentoring others on high impact technical projects
• Design, implementation, testing, and maintenance of software features
• Understanding the design of large systems and the impact of changes to such systems
• Experience with source code control and the build environment of a large software solution
• Experience with using generative AI to assist in day-to-day tasks, including code generation
