Job Summary
We are seeking a highly experienced and dynamic Senior IT Manager to lead our Identity and Access Management (IAM) team. This role requires a unique blend of strategic vision and technical expertise, driving the design, implementation, and governance of enterprise-wide identity and access solutions.
The Manager III, IT Infrastructure & Operations (official position title) is responsible for providing strategic direction, vision, and leadership within the IT Infrastructure & Operations function. This role will oversee the performance, security, and scalability of our IT systems, as well as managing a team of IT professionals. This individual will work closely with IT leadership to align infrastructure initiatives with business objectives, execute strategic initiatives, manage critical projects, and drive continuous improvement in service delivery. It requires a balance of technical expertise, leadership skills, and the ability to execute strategic initiatives.
Job Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership
- Lead, mentor, and manage multiple teams of IT professionals, including entry and mid-level managers, network engineers, systems administrators, and operations staff.
- Drive the team’s performance by setting clear goals, providing ongoing feedback, and fostering professional development.
- Promote a collaborative work environment, ensuring effective communication and coordination with the team and across departments.
- Stay informed of industry trends and emerging technologies, assessing their potential impact on the organization and incorporating relevant innovations into the infrastructure strategy.
IT Infrastructure Strategy & Management
- Develop and implement strategies to enhance the performance, reliability, and scalability of IT infrastructure.
- Oversee the design, deployment, and maintenance of all infrastructure components, including servers, networks, storage, and data centers.
- Collaborate with other IT leaders to align infrastructure projects with business objections and ensure the organization’s IT needs are being met.
Operations Oversight
- Manage the operations of IT systems, ensuring high availability, optimal performance, and security.
- Implement best practices, processes, and procedures for IT operations, including incident, problem, and change management.
- Ensure that all systems and operations are compliant with industry standards, regulations, and company policies.
- Proactively identify areas for improvement and drive initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and service delivery.
Project Management
- Lead large-scale infrastructure projects, from planning and design through to implementation and evaluation, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within scope.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, including IT leadership, to prioritize projects based on business impact, resource availability, and strategic importance.
- Coordinate with external vendors and internal stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
Compliance & Security
- Ensure that all IT infrastructure is secure and compliance with relevant regulations, standards, and internal policies.
- Lead efforts to safeguard systems from security threats, including managing firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and other security technologies.
- Conduct security audits and risk assessments, and lead the response to security incidents.
Resource Management
- Assist in managing the IT infrastructure budget, ensuring resources are allocated effectively, and costs are controlled.
- Optimize the allocation of resources, including personnel, hardware, and software, balancing operational needs with project demands.
- Identify and recommend opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
Reporting & Documentation
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of infrastructure configurations, processes, and procedures.
- Prepare and present detailed reports on system performance, project status, and team productivity to senior leadership.
- Provide insights and recommendations for future infrastructure investments and improvements.

Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and/or related professional work experience.
- 10 years of experience in IT infrastructure and operations, with at least 5 years in a managerial or leadership role.
- Proven experience in managing complex infrastructure environments and leading multiple technical teams.
- Strong technical expertise in one or more of the following:
- Server management, networking, security, storage systems, and/or data center operations;
- Network security, disaster recovery planning, and compliance requirements;
- Cloud computing platforms and enterprise IT systems;
- Virtualization technologies and/or disaster recovery planning;
- Experience with the management of End User Services technologies;
- Understanding of ITSM process and procedures.
- Proven ability to lead, manage, and develop high-performing IT teams.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects and priorities successfully.
- Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a strategic mindset.
Preferred Requirements:
- Technical expertise in IAM technologies such as Okta, Ping Identity, Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), SailPoint, CyberArk, or similar platforms.
- Strong understanding of authentication protocols (SAML, OAuth, OIDC, Kerberos, LDAP).
- Proven track record of delivering IAM programs at enterprise scale.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CIAM

Compensation may vary based on the job level, your geographic work location, position incentive plan and exemption status.
Base Salary Range:
$143,000.00 - $214,500.00
