Role Summary

We are seeking a Senior IT Engineer to support and enhance our on-premises infrastructure in the United States. The core requirements for this role are: 1) extensive, hands-on experience in enterprise wireless networks (UniFi/Aruba); 2) substantial experience in firewall management and Active Directory; and 3) a strong background in information security and compliance practices.? The engineer will be responsible for the overall stability, efficiency, and security of our IT infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

Enterprise Wireless Networking (Primary Focus)

  • Design, deploy, troubleshoot, and optimize enterprise Wi-Fi networks.
  • Provision  and configure wireless access points (APs) and manage wireless       controllers.
  • Implement SSID design, security (WPA2/WPA3, 802.1X), and roaming optimization.
  • Conduct RF tuning, channel planning, and interference troubleshooting.

Network      Security & Identity Management (Secondary Focus)

  • Configure,  manage, and troubleshoot enterprise firewalls (security policies, VPN).
  • Administer Active Directory (user/group management, GPO, domain security).

Information      Security & Compliance

  • Implement       and maintain infrastructure security controls and best practices.
  • Conduct       system hardening, patch management, and vulnerability management.
  • Enforce       access controls and audit practices to ensure compliance.
  • Participate       in security monitoring, incident response, and disaster recovery       planning.

General      Infrastructure Management

  • Operate,       maintain, and troubleshoot Windows and Linux servers.
  • Manage       core network infrastructure (routing, switching, VLANs).
  • Manage       virtualization platforms (VMware vSphere, Hyper-V, Proxmox VE).
  • Support       Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) environments.
  • Administer       enterprise storage systems (SAN/NAS/DAS).
  • Maintain       technical documentation and participate in on-call rotation.

Requirements

  

Required Qualifications

  • 5+      years of experience in infrastructure/systems engineering.
  • Core      Requirements:
    • Extensive,       hands-on experience with enterprise wireless networking. Must have       expertise with Ubiquiti UniFi or Aruba Networks.
  • Secondary      Requirements:
    • Substantial       experience in configuring and managing enterprise firewalls.
    • Substantial       experience in administering Microsoft Active Directory.
    • Hands-on       experience with information security and compliance practices.
  • Required      Skills & Experience:
    • Strong       hands-on experience with Windows Server and Linux.
    • Solid       experience with enterprise networking (wired).
    • Experience       with virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper-V, Proxmox VE).
    • Familiarity       with information security best practices.
    • Strong       troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills.

Preferred Qualifications (Nice-to-Have)

  • VDI      performance optimization or large-scale desktop deployment experience.
  • Wireless      site survey or RF optimization experience.
    • Experience       with backup and DR solutions (e.g., Veeam).
  • Scripting      or automation experience (PowerShell, Bash).
  • Relevant      infrastructure, network, or security certifications (e.g., CCNA,      Security+, CISSP).
