We’re searching for a Senior Internal Communications Manager.

As the Senior Internal Communications Manager, you will inspire Aurorans to continue to opt in to our mission. You will be responsible for strengthening employees’ emotional connection with Aurora and improving discovery of and access to essential information. You will lead internal communication campaigns, bi-weekly company all-hands (Intersection), collaborate with internal teams on important announcements and support initiatives to drive employee engagement.

In this role, you will

  • Storytelling: Develop communication strategies that communicate key company updates, reinforce our values, drive engagement, and ensure employees have access to the right information while providing context for company decisions so that teams and individuals understand how to prioritize their work. 
  • Content Strategy & Creation: Write various internal materials, such as communication plans, executive and company emails, announcements (e.g. partnerships, reorgs, M&A, major events, company strategy, special projects, etc.), Intersection programming, FAQs, talking points, and executive briefing materials.
  • Employee Engagement: Drive programs and initiatives that create two-way conversations and ensure employees feel connected to leadership and one another (e.g. Intersection, open Q&A, recognition program, engagement survey feedback loops, etc.).
  • Collaboration: Able to build trust and drive consensus with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Strategic Partnership: Serve as an advisor to executives and internal stakeholders, guiding them on communication strategies and ensuring consistency across all internal channels.

Required Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in internal communications, preferably in the tech industry.
  • Experience creating internal communication strategies that align employees with company values, culture, and business goals.
  • Excellent written and verbal communicator who can translate complex topics using simple, bold, and concise language. 
  • Experience testing, learning, and iterating with internal communication channels.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proven experience as a trusted communications advisor to internal stakeholders and leaders.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and effectively manage change, ambiguity and shifting priorities.

The base salary range for this position is $158,000 - $253,000 per year.  Aurora’s pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, the successful candidate’s starting base pay will be determined based on factors including job-related skills, experience, qualifications, relevant education or training, and market conditions. These ranges may be modified in the future. The successful candidate will also be eligible for an annual bonus, equity compensation, and benefits.
