This is People Operations at Lattice

At Lattice, we're passionate about building the future of HR technology — for our customers and for ourselves. As Sr. HR Systems Manager, you’ll be at the center of this evolution: owning our own Lattice HR tech strategy and operations while partnering closely with product, engineering, and customer-facing teams to shape the future of our tools.

This is a highly strategic, visible, and technical role: part builder, part advisor, and part advocate. You will manage our internal HR tech stack, drive automation and integration initiatives, and also influence the broader direction of Lattice’s products by offering insight from both internal use and customer conversations.

This role requires both technical depth and cross-functional leadership, helping define (and re-define) what best-in-class HR technology of tomorrow looks like.

What You'll Be Doing:Strategic HR Systems Leadership

  • Define and execute a scalable HR technology strategy, balancing operational excellence, compliance, and end-user experience for Latticians.
  • Serve as a key strategic advisor to People, Finance, IT, and Compliance leaders on HR systems and data strategy.
  • Actively engage with our Product and Engineering (EPD) teams to shape new Lattice products, providing feedback from internal use and customer-facing experiences.
  • Support customer sales conversations and marketing initiatives, sharing best practices for leveraging Lattice’s HRIS capabilities.
  • Manage and mentor an HR Systems specialist, fostering technical growth, strategic thinking, and operational excellence.
  • Drive process standardization and documentation best practices, ensuring consistency, scalability, and compliance across all systems.

HR Systems Operations and Innovation

  • Own and optimize Lattice’s HR technology ecosystem, including internal Lattice products and third-party tools.
  • Lead major systems projects, including internal transitions to new Lattice products, HRIS enhancements, and integration expansions.
  • Identify and prioritize opportunities for automation, integration, and system improvements that enhance scalability and data integrity.
  • Build and maintain strong data governance practices to ensure consistency, accuracy, and compliance across all HR systems.
  • Lead renewal strategy for third-party vendors, in collaboration with finance and procurement teams, focusing on cost-effectiveness and long-term value.
  • Stay informed about emerging HR technology trends and recommend solutions that enhance Lattice’s People Operations function.

What You Bring to the Table:

    • 8+ years of experience managing HR systems, HRIS or HCM, benefits, and talent platforms, with at least 2+ years leading teams or complex projects.
    • Strong expertise in HR data management, system integrations, and automation strategies.
    • Experience influencing product roadmaps through internal testing, stakeholder feedback, and customer advocacy.
    • Skilled at communicating complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences and translating business needs into technical solutions.
    • Hands-on experience with HR system migrations, payroll transitions, and large-scale process improvements.
    • Deep understanding of HR technology trends and a passion for leveraging technology to modernize and enhance the employee experience.
    • Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
    • Experience with the Lattice platform is a great bonus, but not required.

The estimated annual cash salary for this role is $133,500 - $167,000. This position is also eligible for incentive stock options, subject to the terms of Lattice’s applicable plans.

Benefits: The Company offers the following benefits for this position, subject to applicable eligibility requirements: Medical insurance; Dental insurance; Vision insurance; Life, AD&D, and Disability Insurance; Emergency Weather Support; Wellness Apps; Paid Parental Leave, Paid Time off inclusive of holidays and sick time; Commuter & Parking Accounts; Lunches in the Office; Internet and Phone Stipend; One time WFH Office Set-Up Stipend; 401(k) retirement plan; Financial Planning; Learning & Development Budget; Sabbatical Program; and Invest in Your People Fund

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
