Senior Functional Consultant - Financial, Managed Services

Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced NetSuite Managed Services Senior Functional Consultant - Financial to serve as a critical member of our team, specializing in providing advanced functional support, strategic guidance, and ongoing optimization for NetSuite clients in the financial domain. You will leverage your deep understanding of both financial accounting and NetSuite to help clients streamline operations, achieve financial accuracy, and gain valuable insights from their data. This role offers the opportunity to work with diverse clients, collaborate with a talented team, and play a key role in shaping the success of our managed services practice.  

Requirements

• Provide advanced functional support and troubleshooting for NetSuite clients in the financial domain and beyond. 
• Identify and resolve complex business and technical issues related to financial processes. 
• Implement and optimize NetSuite configurations and customizations for financial operations. 
• Stay up-to-date with the latest NetSuite features, industry trends, and best practices for financial operations. 
• Conduct training sessions and workshops for clients on NetSuite's financial functionalities and best practices. 
• Participate in and contribute to the successful delivery of NetSuite managed services projects with a focus on financial modules. 
• Utilize reporting and analytics tools to extract valuable insights from financial data and empower clients with data-driven decision making. 
• Partner with clients to identify opportunities for process improvements and leverage NetSuite to achieve greater financial transparency and efficiency. 
• Ensure clients' financial processes comply with relevant accounting standards and regulations. 

Prerequisite

• Currently working with NetSuite in a Managed Services role, supporting and extending existing NetSuite implementations

Financial & Accounting Expertise

• Strong accounting background (deep functional accounting knowledge, not just NetSuite Financials configuration experience)
• Intercompany transactions and accounting
• Eliminations
• Foreign exchange (multi-currency transactions and revaluation)
• CTA (Cumulative Translation Adjustment)
• ARM (Advanced Revenue Management)

Technical & Project Experience

• Comfortable leading technical discussions, including integration and custom development specifications
• Extensive experience with NetSuite Projects module
• Experience with Subscriptions (SuiteBilling / recurring revenue management)

Nice-to-Have (Industry & Functional)

• Manufacturing (in-house and outsourced manufacturing models)
• Distribution — strong MRP, capacity planning, and scheduling knowledge
• Medical Technology industry experience
• Food & Beverage industry experience
• Wireless/Telecom industry experience

Education/Experience 

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. 
• 4+ years of experience in NetSuite implementation and configuration, with a focus on financial modules. 
• Strong understanding of financial accounting principles, standards, and regulations, including GAAP and IFRS, and emerging financial technologies. 
• In-depth knowledge of NetSuite's core financial modules, including Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Cash Management, Fixed Assets, and Financial Reporting. 
• Proficiency in using NetSuite reporting and analytics tools to generate meaningful financial reports and dashboards 
• Ability to identify opportunities for process improvements and automation within NetSuite's financial modules. 
• Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with clients at all levels, explain financial concepts clearly, and act as a trusted advisor. 
• Ability to develop, grow, and sustain strong, long-lasting client relationships 
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
