The Senior Full Stack Engineer will design, implement, and ship features for the Spotify Ads Manager, improve ad experiences, guide teams, and adhere to engineering best practices.

Spotify is hiring a Senior Full Stack engineer to join the Disco squad in the Ads R&D Team. We work at the intersection of advertising and user experience to connect millions of brands to billions of fans. You’ll help us define and materialize our vision to improve the ad experience for our users and advertisers.
What You'll Do
- Design, implement and ship features using Java, Typescript and other technologies for the Spotify Ads Manager.
- Partner with product managers and business stakeholders to build and scale our services, powering our platform.
- Collaborate with teams and disciplines across the world to deliver high-quality, high-impact customer-facing products and features.
- Perform code reviews, create documentation and take on complex bug fixes across services and multiple levels of the stack.
- Improve operational excellence and share your knowledge across the company to promote best practices.

- Uplift and mentor those around you. Especially those more junior than you.
Who You Are
- You are a full-stack engineer with 5+ years of hands-on experience in Java and TypeScript to implement end-to-end features that handle a high volume of data.
- You have a strong understanding of web & API development. You should have hands-on experience building and consuming APIs. A good understanding of REST, gRPC and GraphQL is also required.
- You have a deep understanding of TypeScript design patterns, data structures, APIs and web architecture and understand how to apply them to design pragmatic solutions.
- You care about observability & reliability and have experience with engineering best practices and testing automation to build quality into software and systems.
- You love working in an environment where you constantly deliver and iterate quickly. You have led large, complex multi-team refactors working across domains: frontend, backend, and infrastructure.
- You are comfortable working in an agile environment and are comfortable challenging yourself and your team to improve their ways of working
- You are autonomous, taking full ownership of your work and driving your personal development. You value team success over personal success and have the ability to both uplift and up-level other engineers.
Where You'll Be
- We offer you the flexibility to work where you work best! For this role, you can be within the North American region as long as we have a work location.
- Working hours? The team operates in PST and EST time zones for collaboration. We often need to communicate with our bandmates in the Australian Eastern Standard Timezone.
The United States base range for this position is $160,091- $228,702 plus equity. The benefits available for this position include health insurance, six month paid parental leave, 401(k) retirement plan, monthly meal allowance, 23 paid days off, 13 paid flexible holidays, paid sick leave. These ranges may be modified in the future.
