The Role
At adMarketplace, we are redefining the consumer search experience with a focus on creating responsive and high-performance applications that consistently deliver delightful and engaging user interactions. We are looking for a talented Senior Frontend Engineer who is passionate about using modern technology stacks to help us achieve that goal. You will join a small, highly skilled team, playing a crucial role in building our new tech platform. In addition to deep technical expertise, this role requires the ability to independently lead projects from concept to delivery, driving execution while collaborating across teams. Our front end tech stack includes Typescript, ReactJS, GraphQL, Webpack, AWS, Docker, and more. This role also requires a solid understanding of backend technologies. Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with design, product, and engineering teams to transform product requirements into innovative technical solutions focusing on rich analytics user interfaces.
  • Prototype and build new products and tools for publisher/advertiser sales demos using advanced frontend technologies, ensuring testability and reusability.
  • Play a key role in the build, test, integration, and release processes using Continuous Integration and Delivery methods.
  • Promote and influence the use of best software engineering practices amongst the team.
  • Mentor and guide other software engineers to improve their skills and effectiveness in frontend development.
  • Work closely with backend engineers to ensure seamless integration and alignment of front-end and back-end components.
  • Independently lead projects from concept to delivery, ensuring technical excellence, timely execution, and cross-functional alignment.

Basic Qualifications
  • 5+ years of professional experience in front-end software development.
  • Expertise in developing rich applications using HTML5, CSS3, and Typescript.
  • Experience working on large scale consumer facing applications.
  • Strong proficiency in ReactJS, React Native,and testing frameworks like Jest and testing-library.
  • Experience in RESTful APIs.
  • Knowledge of modern authorization mechanisms, such as JSON Web Token.
  • Experience with common front-end development tools such as Babel, Webpack, NPM, Vite, etc.
  • Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and containerization (Docker, etc.).
  • Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements.
  • Proven ability to lead projects independently and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with AWS services (EC2, S3, Lambda, and API Gateway).
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Preferred Qualifications
  • BS in Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline.
  • Experience with Continuous Integration and Delivery.
  • Familiar with micro-frontend development patterns like modular federation.
  • Background in digital advertising or e-commerce industries.
  • Understanding of Java or fullstack development

Compensation: $170,000 - $220,000 + Bonus & Equity

*This range represents the low and high end of the base salary someone in this role may earn as an employee of adMarketplace in the New York office. Salaries will vary based on various factors including but not limited to professional and academic experience; training; associated responsibilities; and other business and organizational needs. The range listed is just one component of our total compensation package for employees. Salary decisions are dependent on the circumstances of each hire.
