Senior Financial Analyst, Corporate FP&A · Hybrid

About the role

Pace's corporate FP&A team produces the consolidated financial view used by management and the Board. It spans 100+ labs and service centers across Analytical & Environmental, Life Sciences and Professional Services. We are hiring a self-directed analyst to own that consolidation end to end, from pulling and reconciling the data to delivering Board-ready reporting.

This role is for someone who wants the numbers to tie the first time, and who notices when a number is right but the story behind it is not. You will work directly with the Head of FP&A, finance directors and senior leaders. Initially you will report to the Head of FP&A, moving to the FP&A Manager once that role is filled.

What you will do

  • Consolidation and data integrity: own the monthly consolidated management view from Adaptive Planning. Reconcile it to the general ledger every cycle, and build tie-out checks that catch errors before review.
  • Management and Board reporting: prepare monthly management packages and quarterly Board materials, including charts, bridges and variance commentary that separates price, volume and mix.
  • Capital expenditure: consolidate capex requests, approvals and spend across the network. Report on status, overruns and timing.
  • Business partnering: work with finance directors and senior leaders to understand what drives the numbers. Test explanations against the data and raise what does not add up.
  • Process build: document reporting calendars and reconciliation steps so they are repeatable. Help integrate operational and sales metrics from the planned enterprise data lake.

What we are looking for

We care about what you can do, not years or credentials.

Required

  • A structured accounting or finance foundation, such as public accounting, transaction advisory, financial due diligence or a rigorous corporate accounting role.
  • A track record of reconciling large, multi-source data sets and explaining the differences.
  • Experience building financial reporting that others relied on.
  • Advanced Excel: clean, formula-driven models that others can follow.
  • Comfort with fixed monthly and Board deadlines.
  • The curiosity to ask why a number moved, and the confidence to challenge senior partners.

Preferred

  • Transaction advisory or quality-of-earnings experience.
  • Adaptive Planning or another planning tool (Anaplan, OneStream, Pigment).
  • Multi-site or multi-entity consolidation experience.
  • Power BI, Power Query or SQL.
  • Experience in laboratory services, healthcare or another regulated, multi-location business.

Compensation: $110,000–$125,000 base, depending on experience, plus Pace benefits.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT: Work is performed in an office setting.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
