  • Translate underwriting into actionable pricing guidance and investment narratives

Valuation & Client Deliverables

  • Prepare Broker Opinion of Value (BOV) materials and pricing recommendations
  • Develop institutional-quality Offering Memorandums and marketing materials
  • Synthesize complex financial data into clear, compelling investment theses

Transaction Execution

  • Support end-to-end transaction processes, including due diligence, buyer underwriting support, and escrow coordination
  • Manage data rooms, process timelines, and execution checklists
  • Interface with clients, investors, and internal stakeholders throughout the deal lifecycle

Market Research & Strategy

  • Conduct in-depth market research, including comparable sales, leasing data, and capital markets trends
  • Track investor activity and underwriting trends across product types
  • Provide strategic insight to inform positioning and marketing of assets

COMPETENCIES

  • Exceptional analytical and quantitative skills with rigorous attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments in a deadline-driven environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex analyses clearly
  • Team-oriented mindset with the ability to operate independently when needed

BACKGROUND AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s Degree (Finance, Accounting or Economics preferred)
  • 3 or more years of commercial real estate experience, preferably in capital markets, investments sales, or advisory
  • Strong background in financial modeling, including ARGUS Enterprise and Excel-based DCF analysis
  • Experience underwriting multiple asset classes (office, multifamily, industrial preferred)
  • California Real Estate Salesperson’s License, or ability to obtain one within six months of employment

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
