The Strategic Finance team's mission is to enable Go1's efficient growth while driving us toward our goal of unlocking the love of L&D managers. We operate across the full spectrum of financial strategy, from long-term planning and budgeting to performance analysis, while supporting executive decision-making and investor relations.
About the role:
As our Senior Strategic Finance Manager with a primary focus on our R&D and G&A functions, you will play a vital role in shaping the financial course of our business and ensuring the successful management of our financial performance. In this role, you will provide financial leadership for our Product, Content, Engineering, and Internal Facing Teams. You will have the opportunity to bring clarity to complex financial scenarios through your exceptional financial modeling, commercial acumen, and stakeholder management skills.
While the role is remote, we are specifically seeking candidates located in the Pacific Time zone who can travel to the Bay Area when required.
What you will do:
- Elevate financial planning from budget management to maximizing ROI on each R&D and G&A dollar we spend
- Build and own financial forecast models that align our strategic objectives with operational execution by setting financial targets and understanding deviations in performance of actuals for your functional areas
- Drive our key operating cadences, including monthly business reviews, bi-annual forecasting, and annual strategic planning processes for the R&D and G&A organizations
- Continuously improve our financial processes, identifying opportunities for enhancement, and contributing to the scalability of our team and business
What you will need to thrive in this role:
- A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is required
- Possess a minimum of 8 years of financial experience gained in Investment Banking, Private Equity, VC, Strategic Finance, or a similar FP&A role in a fast-paced environment
- Expertise in financial modeling, with meticulous attention to detail. You can confidently build financial models from scratch in Excel, ensuring the highest quality of work
- Excellent business acumen and communication skills. You can extract meaningful insights from large volumes of data and craft executive-level communications that effectively convey the story behind the numbers
- Thrive in a hypergrowth environment, embracing change as the only constant
- A team player who enjoys supporting and uplifting others, fostering a collaborative and inclusive work environment
At Go1, your base pay is one part of your total compensation package. This role pays between $140,000 and $180,000, and your actual base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, geo-location, and experience. This role is also eligible for the employee bonus plan and employee stock options.
