Senior Software Engineer (Enterprise)

The Role:

Podium is looking for a talented Generative AI Engineer with expertise in building agentic applications using large language models (LLMs). In this role, you will be joining a team of  smart and dedicated AI engineers tasked with empowering local businesses by creating AI agents that efficiently handle customer interactions to optimize operations and reclaim valuable time. What you will be doing:

• Develop and deploy full-stack AI-driven applications powered by large language models to automate interactions and manage leads for local businesses.
• Design, implement, and maintain both the front-end and back-end of scalable systems that integrate AI technologies.
• Work through the entire development lifecycle—from architecture to deployment—ensuring seamless integration of AI solutions.
• Engage in rapid prototyping and iterative development to refine both AI and platform features based on user feedback and real-world performance.
• Implement systems to monitor and evaluate AI agents in production, ensuring reliability and optimal user satisfaction.
• Stay current with industry trends in generative AI and full-stack development, applying cutting-edge research to practical business solutions

What you should have:

• Available and willing to travel (up to 2 weeks, twice a month) onsite with customers, to build custom features.
• 6+ years of hands-on programming experience with at least one modern language such as Python, Go, or Elixir.
• Strong experience with both front-end (e.g., React, JavaScript, TypeScript) and back-end (e.g., Node.js, Python, Elixir) technologies.
• Solid understanding of full-stack architecture and how to interact with the latest AI models, and utilize the strengths of the models.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proven ability to decompose complex issues and drive innovation.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team, translating technical concepts for diverse audiences.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, iterative development environment.

What we hope you have:

• 6+ years of experience in designing and contributing to large-scale distributed systems and AI-driven applications.
• Proficiency in Python and its application in AI-driven full-stack systems.
• Exceptional writing abilities for creating and optimizing prompts for generative AI models.
• Experience with deploying, monitoring, debugging, and evaluating AI agents in production environments.
