The Senior Engineer I will develop and enhance the Consumer Payment Portal, focusing on payment processing, UX, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure quality code delivery.

About the team:
While TrueML is building FinTech SaaS products across the debt servicing industry, our mission as the Consumer Payment Portal product team is to create intelligent solutions and services that allow our customers to easily pay down their financial obligations.
As a Senior Engineer I on our team, you will help us fulfill this mission by applying your strong technical and analytical skills to develop and extend our payments platform infrastructure to continue to process financial transactions safely, securely and consistently. You will work with our payment processing partners and gateways to identify new workflows with an eye on giving our consumers more options to suit their needs, such as alternative payment methods or flexible payment scheduling.
In this role, you will collaborate closely with the UX, Design, and Experimentation teams to build and maintain a seamless front-end web experience, enabling consumers to easily make payments and manage their accounts. You will possess a strong understanding of both patterns and anti-patterns, effectively applying them in your work. You will keep up with industry news and take initiative in introducing innovative techniques to our company.

What You'll Do:
- Contribute to the team's efforts as a Fullstack Engineer (estimated at 60|40 : FE|BE).
- You'll work with a collaborative & cross-functional team, including other engineers, Product Management, Program Management, to translate requirements into technical realities.
- You'll write clean, high-quality, well-tested, readable & maintainable code; mostly in Typescript (React) and Golang.
- Contribute ideas and input to help ensure deliverability against roadmap & objectives.
- Make well-reasoned decisions about the trade-offs between design & development trade-offs, balancing quality/performance & speed of delivery.
- Work with a distributed, multinational, and bilingual team with the need to switch back and forth between English & Spanish seamlessly (including for technical topics).
- Work on Payments-focused systems, products, and infrastructure.
- Help grow the team by participating in interviewing & hiring processes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree (in Computer Science or similar technical or engineering focus), or equivalent professional experience, and...
- 5+ years of professional experience as a Software Engineer or Developer.
- Experience with Typescript & React (similar experience also considered).
- Experience with Golang.
- You have experience in cloud-native environments (AWS preferred).
- High autonomy and ability to hit deadlines & deliverable with little oversight.
- Ideally, you have experience in payments technology - but if not then experience in similar high-throughput mission-critical systems would be valuable to your success.
- High degree of professional fluency in English (and Spanish).
- Open to candidates based in Mexico or Argentina only.
