About the Role:
- Design, develop, and maintain back-end software systems for cloud-based cybersecurity solutions.
- Create and implement distributed systems architecture for endpoint management platforms.
- Participate in strategic technical initiatives focusing on sensor telemetry and system debuggability.
- Create and maintain high-performance cloud infrastructure components. Ensure system reliability and performance through monitoring, testing, and debugging.
- Conduct root cause analysis for critical issues. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate frontend and backend solutions.
- Participate in code reviews and provide technical guidance to team members.
- Implement microservices architecture for scalability.
- Design event driven systems using modern messaging patterns.
- Contribute to best practices for software architecture.
- Telecommuting is permitted 100% of the time from anywhere within the US.
What You’ll Need:
Must possess expertise/knowledge sufficient to adequately perform the duties of the job being offered. Expertise/knowledge may be gained through employment experience or education. Such expertise/knowledge cannot be “quantified” by “time.” Required expertise/knowledge includes:
- Experience building backend modules for distributed systems using microservices architecture, containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), message queues (Kafka/RabbitMQ), and implementing service mesh patterns for inter service communication and fault tolerance;
- Experience building and deploying cloud-based solutions using major cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP), leveraging managed services (RDS, Lambda, S3), Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/CloudFormation), and implementing auto-scaling, CI/CD pipelines, and multi-region deployments;
- Experience working with database technologies including Redis for caching/session storage, Kafka for event streaming/message processing, Postgres for transactional data with query optimization, and ElasticSearch/OpenSearch for full-text search, log aggregation, and real-time analytics;
- Experience building REST or equivalent APIs using frameworks (Spring Boot/Gin), implementing proper HTTP methods/status codes, authentication/authorization (JWT, OAuth), API versioning, rate limiting, and comprehensive documentation (OpenAPI/Swagger);
- Proficient in backend development using Go, Python, or Java with experience in frameworks, concurrency patterns, performance optimization, and production-grade application development;
- Excellent troubleshooting and debugging skills for distributed systems using distributed tracing (Jaeger, Zipkin), log aggregation (ELK stack), monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana), and root cause analysis across multiple services and data flows;
- Experience working in a collaborative coding environment, refining designs together, working the rough code reviews and managing pull requests.
Education/Experience Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related computer technical field (or foreign equivalent) plus Five (5) years of experience in the job offered or closely related occupation.
CrowdStrike, Inc. is committed to fair compensation practices. Placement within the pay range is dependent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications, job level, supervisory status, and location. The base salary range for this position for all U.S. candidates is $265,000 - $285,000 per year, with eligibility for bonuses, equity grants and a comprehensive benefits package that includes health insurance, 401k and paid time off.
