Position Summary:
Pintu Sethi, VP of Product Design and Program Management, at Perforce is searching for a Senior Director, Product Design to join the team. The Senior Director, Product Design at Perforce, will be responsible for leading and developing a team of designers, establishing design strategies, and ensuring a seamless user experience across our products at Perforce. The Senior Director, Product design has the overall responsibility of creating user-centered designs that drive the success of our products.
Requirements:
- 15+ years of product design experience
- Proven successful experience leading a team of designers.
- A relevant degree OR Industry recognized certifications in a Design related discipline.
- Extensive experience in the full design lifecycle
- Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills; ability to work successfully with teams across the organization, including Product Management, Marketing, Sales and Engineering.
- Direct experience in AI technologies and tools in Product Design
- Extensive experience in using design software packages and prototyping tools such as Figma.
Responsibilities:
- Builds, evolves and scales the design team at Perforce, their processes and tools.
- Responsible for shaping Design strategy and direction, ensuring it aligns to wider business strategies, and company goals.
- Oversee the entire design process at Perforce, from ideation and sketching to prototyping and final delivery.
- Collaborates across multiple functions and builds strategic relationships to influence work direction and drive successful outcomes.
- Leverages deep knowledge of the business to introduce innovative Design concepts and champion new initiatives.
- Negotiates on Design matters of critical importance to the organization
- Articulates complex ideas and strategies clearly and persuasively to gain stakeholder buy-in.
- Maintain awareness of industry trends, competitive landscape, and market dynamics to inform decisions and advance organizational goals.
- Solves complex problems: Analyzes complex Design concepts with a critical lens and implements effective solutions.
- Ability to define, communicate, and inspire around a long-term vision, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
- Strong cross-functional collaboration and relationship-building skills to influence work direction and drive successful outcomes.
- Capable of advocating for the team and elevating the design function across the organization through compelling storytelling.
- Establishes regular, clear communication cadences with both team and stakeholders to ensure transparency and alignment.
- Builds the brand and visibility of the team within the broader company, showcasing achievements and contributions.
- Demonstrates strong support for team members, especially during change and ambiguity.
- Deep understanding of operational and technical aspects of the work.
- High mental acuity and willingness to engage in technical detail to support the team.
- Receptive to team feedback and willing to reflect and improve.
- Experienced in navigating organizational change and integrating new team members.
