You’ll lead and build a high-performing team, ensuring that our design vision is forward-looking, strategic, and aligned with Zocdoc’s broader goals. Your work will focus on evolving our Marketplace team into a sophisticated experience that leverages new technology to help grow and support our customers in finding the best possible healthcare for them. Your day-to-day is:
- Defining and leading the Marketplace team’s design strategy, ensuring alignment with company goals and user needs
- Mentoring and developing a team of designers and managers, focusing on career growth and team success
- Partnering with product and engineering to create exceptional, user-centered solutions
- Establishing and communicating a cohesive design vision while delivering on short- and long-term goals
- Reviewing and refining designs, roadmaps, and strategies, ensuring the highest quality and alignment
- Driving the integration of new features and technologies into the platform while maintaining a seamless experience
- Balancing big-picture strategy with actionable, incremental improvements
- Advocating for the role of design across the organization, inspiring teams to prioritize innovation and quality
- 10+ years of experience designing and delivering impactful user experiences, with strategic and measurable outcomes
- 5+ years of leadership experience managing and scaling design teams, ideally with specific growth and search design experience
- A proven track record of hiring, coaching, and retaining top design talent
- Experience driving adoption of new products, features, or technologies through strategic design
- Excellent communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization
- A collaborative mindset, thriving in cross-functional partnerships with product and engineering
- A strong ability to think both strategically and tactically, balancing vision with execution
- A commitment to adaptability and resilience in a fast-paced, evolving environment
