Job DescriptionThe Senior Director of Partnership Marketing Strategy will work across the US Marketing teams, including Marketing Services, to drive upstream strategic thinking about how to best leverage existing Visa partnerships in the US as well as guide go-forward procurement of future Visa partnerships in the US. This role will report directly to the Vice President of US Consumer Marketing and will have strong coordination with relevant cross-functional teammates in Global Sponsorship & Experiential Marketing as well as North America Product Teams.
Responsibilities
- Develop go-forward strategy behind marketing activation of existing Visa partnerships and identification of new partnership marketing opportunities for the US to ensure the market maximizes the value of sponsorships and third‑party collaborations.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to activate partnerships effectively, designing integrated programs that strengthen brand relevance and deepen consumer engagement in alignment with priority audiences.
- Establish frameworks, metrics, and dashboards for evaluation and ROI to measure marketing impact with rigor, drive accountability, and support continuous improvement.
- Embed partnership strategy into broader marketing plans by working closely with sponsorship, media, product, analytics, and Marketing Services teams leveraging these partnerships through Value-in-Kind (VIK).
- Identify emerging opportunities and trends to keep Visa culturally relevant through partnerships as a strategic growth driver for the US, with a particular focus on unlocking opportunities for co-marketing with Visa’s extensive merchant network through Visa brand marketing campaigns.
- Manage US Marketing investment allocation across partnerships to maximize return, efficiency, and measurable business outcomes.
- Develop decision frameworks that ensure partnership consistency, transparency, and disciplined evaluation across the full partnership lifecycle and use these frameworks to deliver US-specific guidance to Global Sponsorship and Experiential team.
This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.
QualificationsBasic Qualifications:
- 12 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 10 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters/MBA /JD/MD), or a minimum of 5 years of work experience with a PhD
Preferred Qualifications:
- 15 or more years of experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or 12 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, or MD), PhD with 9+ years of experience
- Proven track record of developing and executing partnership strategies that deliver measurable business impact through Marketing platforms, campaigns and activations.
- Strong analytical skills with expertise in ROI modeling, performance measurement, and translating data into actionable strategy.
- Deep understanding of cultural trends, consumer engagement tactics, and integrated marketing.
- Ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive alignment across complex, highly matrixed organizations.
- Strong collaboration skills with the ability to work across regions and partner closely with sponsorship, media, product, analytics, and insights teams.
- Experience managing budgets or investment allocation to optimize return across a partnership or sponsorship portfolio.
- Extremely organized with quick follow‑through and a bias toward action, able to think strategically and execute methodically.
- Self‑starter and strong problem solver with the ability to think ahead, engage proactively, and take initiative.
- Strong relationship‑building experience, with the ability to collaborate across business units to execute strategy and drive action.
- Strong written and in‑person communication skills.
Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.
Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for this position is 207,600.00 to 332,300.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
