The Senior Director of Operations leads the development and execution of strategic initiatives for the company. This senior level role will be a key contributor in developing and executing operational strategies that align with company goals across multiple business channels with a high-level of urgency. These strategies will have a strategic impact in driving operational excellence throughout the organization. This includes the fulfillment of demand for all business channels (Ecom, Wholesale, Retail, Concession, Franchise) by managing our 3PL DC network. Responsible for optimizing operational processes while building a resilient supply chain that can withstand unforeseen challenges while supporting the company’s growth
 
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
·      Strategic Leadership: Collaborate with cross-functional teams and providers to ensure accurate demand planning, inventory control, product launches, new store openings, and replenishment strategies. Participating in and executing effective product life-cycle strategies. Collaborate and support the teams for each channel by meeting service levels, shipping lead times and order fulfillment rates. Work closely with all parties to consistently meet deadlines as cost-effectively as possible. Work with various layers of leadership to formulate and implement operational business strategies for each channel. Ability to think strategically and execute tactically, lead by example
·      Operational Excellence: Must possess excellent critical thinking skills and passion for problem solving. Drive process improvements, create standard operating processes, ensure compliance with policies, and implement best practices to increase efficiency and service delivery. Monitor vendor performance and drive continuous improvement. Implement chargebacks to suppliers that are in violation of routing guidelines. Possess in-depth knowledge of reverse logistics, order management, and retail account requirements. Monitor and minimize line and order cancellations to maximize revenue opportunities. Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies, contingency plans, and business continuity measures to ensure uninterrupted supply chain operations that support the company’s goals. Coordinate all strategies and efforts with the logistics team
·      Performance Metrics: Monitor and provide visibility for all capacity planning, SLA’s and performance metrics of our 3PL DC operations. Analyze and manage all supply chain metrics/KPIs such as fill rates, overtime spending, shrink, delivery accuracy, return rates, and on-time performance for continuous improvement. Provide regular and ad hoc reporting to management on key objectives, initiatives, and other areas as required
·      P&L Management: Manage operations budgeting, forecasting, and cost control to maximize profitability. Responsible for meeting accounting processes and deadlines for inventory reconciliation and month/quarter/year-end close. Provide all financial reporting of costs and measurables for operations
·      Change Management: Lead initiatives that drive organizational change
·      Project management: Lead all operational projects in creating deadlines, milestones, role and responsibility assignment, to successful completion
·      Process Improvement: Implement standardized SOPs and identify opportunities for the use of AI, automation and efficiency improvement
·      Leadership Development: Building the operations team to be a center of excellence. Recruit, lead, mentor, and support a growing team. Ensure high performance, continuous development, and implementing best practices while mitigating risk
Qualifications
·      Minimum of bachelor’s degree in operations management, supply chain management, business administration or equivalent
·      A minimum of 10 years’ experience which includes developing, driving, and leading strategic operational initiatives
·      A minimum of 5+ years’ experience in apparel is required
·      Knowledge of parcel, ground, air, and ocean logistics operations
·      Project management, negotiation, change management and conflict resolution skills
·      Experience implementing high-value, highly strategic projects and building innovative solutions from the bottom-up
·      Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to effectively communicate about complex issues with senior management
·      Excellent analytical skills
·      Ability to make strategic recommendations based on data and best practices
·      Experience driving large, system-wide global projects through facilitation, influence, and collaboration
·      Experience working with and directing 3PL providers
·      High proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
·      Familiarity with Netsuite a plus
·      Domestic and international travel as needed
