Position Summary:

The Senior Director, Commercial Operations will be responsible for elevating strategic and analytic insights and field execution in the neuropsychiatric franchise. The individual will work with Acadia’s cross-functional leadership teams to implement strategies and pull through operational execution plans. Serving as a critical liaison between the SVP, Neuropsychiatry Franchise, sales leadership, marketing, and internal functions, the Senior Director will manage high-impact projects and play a pivotal role in shaping and executing the franchise’s commercial strategy and direction.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Project Management:
    • Lead slide and/or content development for team meetings and national calls
    • Serve as a surrogate for national leaders (cross-functionally)
    • Ensure timely follow-up or resolution of action items
    • Lead team engagement, culture, recognition
    • Ensure strategic alignment and adherence to team priorities
    • Ensure Brand Planning Efforts are coordinated cross-functionally, market research is effectively integrated and tactics are aligned to strategic imperatives.
    • Ensures KPIs are established and monitored for effectiveness of objectives, tactical execution
    • Support launch planning (new products, new tools, new resources, new customer engagement model, etc)
    • Support team in coordination with AIR and Corp Comm teams to ensure strategy aligned and pulled through
    • Coordinate and ensure alignment with Rare Disease franchise on key initiatives/projects/meetings, etc.
  • Field Operations:
    • SPIFF planning: execution, evaluation (in collaboration with CIAO and sales leadership)
    • Targeting and territory planning
    • Lead dashboards/scoreboards to measure and elevate field execution
    • Data ‘management’ and actionable insights
    • Coordinate with CIAO to support  Veeva, IQ 2020 updates for sales and marketing initiatives, including machine learning, AI, rep triggers, etc.
    • Annual KPI planning
    • Work cross-functionally on training and meeting planning
    • Marketing Operations liaison 
  • Execution Excellence, Learning & Development:
    • Collaborate with leadership on field direction and execution for strategy/initiatives/materials rollout
    • Ensure field communications are compliant and strategically aligned to implementation strategies
    • Lead field council planning/process and specific field councils (i.e., VP/Director’s Council, BP council)
    • Serve as field SME on tools and resources

Education/Experience/Skills:

Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 12  years relevant experience focusing on marketing, sales/sales leadership, communications, and operations, and cross-functional team leadership at a pharmaceutical/biotech company, which includes experience managing people,  processes, and projects to effectively meet timeframes. An appropriate combination of education/experience will be considered.

Physical Requirements:

This role involves regular standing, walking, sitting, and the use of hands for handling or operating equipment. The employee may also need to reach, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and maintain visual, verbal, and auditory communication both in a standard office environment and while working independently from remote locations. Employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.  This position requires the ability to travel independently overnight and/or work after hours as required by travel schedule or business needs.

In addition to a competitive base salary, this position is also eligible for discretionary bonus and equity awards based on factors such as individual and organizational performance. Actual amounts will vary depending on experience, performance, and location. 

Salary Range
$223,000$279,200 USD
