Own Ellipsis Health’s end-to-end B2B marketing engine, including brand strategy, demand generation, enterprise pipeline, audience segmentation, content, thought leadership, marketing analytics, budget, and sales enablement. Build scalable marketing functions and reporting for health plan and health system buyers, translating clinical outcomes into compelling narratives, campaigns, and revenue growth. Partner closely with commercial teams throughout complex, high-value sales cycles.

Ellipsis Health is creating cutting-edge AI/ML products that solve healthcare staffing challenges and administrative burdens using conversational AI and our patented voice biomarker technology - helping deliver better healthcare for everyone. We are headquartered in Silicon Valley and are funded and supported by some of the most preeminent venture capital teams.

As the Senior Director of Marketing, you will own the marketing engine end to end: how a health plan or health system first hears about Sage and what it takes to earn their business. You will run the brand and demand-generation motion and own the numbers behind it, turning Sage's clinical proof into a scalable pipeline.

Ellipsis Health is located in the San Francisco Bay Area, but we are open to remote candidates for this role, as long as they are located in the U.S.

Responsibilities:

Build the Brand Engine

  • Shape the narrative that makes Ellipsis the obvious, outcomes-backed choice for the customers we serve.

  • Make Ellipsis the name people bring up first in AI care management.

  • Own brand awareness end to end. Build the strategy behind events, thought leadership, customer stories and video, social, and account-based campaigns, all reinforcing a clear GTM story of what Sage delivers.

  • Own audience strategy: how we think about who we're acquiring, and how the approach differs by segment, health plan versus health system, and by stakeholder.

Build the Pipeline Engine and Own the Numbers

  • Own the multi-year growth plan for Ellipsis: translate business goals into the MQL, SQL, and revenue targets that get us there, and the channel and investment strategy to hit them.

  • Design and execute a repeatable demand generation motion, spanning ABM, direct mail, email, LinkedIn, conference and events strategy, and strategic partnerships, built for a long, high-touch enterprise sales cycle.

  • Build the reporting infrastructure that measures pipeline influence and CAC by channel and segment, and regularly report out on results and performance to goal.

  • Build and manage the marketing budget.

  • Build the feedback loops between sales and marketing, win/loss analysis, and pipeline reporting, that make the motion sharper over time.

Content Strategy & Thought Leadership

  • Own Ellipsis's brand voice and visual identity, the tone, language, look and feel, and point of view that shows up consistently across executive content, sales assets, and every other piece of content.

  • Build, maintain, and scale the enablement repository our multi-disciplinary account teams rely on: localized pitch decks, ROI calculators, and stakeholder-specific messaging by persona and segment.

  • Own the content editorial calendar, planning content that reinforces one consistent narrative across every channel and moment.

  • Develop assets spanning both copywriting and design: white papers, case studies, and clinical outcome briefs that prove Sage's results in the language enterprise buyers trust.

Qualifications:

  • 10-12 years in B2B marketing, with 5+ years in healthcare or health tech.

  • High-ACV enterprise track record. Experience leading a high-ACV commercial motion (mid-6 to low-7-figure deals) targeting multi-stakeholder buyer networks is a strong plus.

  • Track record across multiple growth tactics spanning brand and demand.

  • Proven founding marketer. You've built a marketing function from scratch at an early-stage startup.

  • Elite writer and communicator. Your copy, decks, and narratives are exceptional, and you're just as sharp presenting them live.

  • A track record of close partnership with commercial teams, driving deal closures together.

  • Challenger mindset. A history of out-marketing bigger, better-funded competitors by executing on data, value, and customer success, paired with the humility to defer to clinical and commercial experts on domain specifics.

  • Bachelor's degree required.

Salary and Benefits
We offer competitive salary and benefits, including 401(k) matching, health, vision, and dental insurance, and very flexible paid time off. The salary range for this role is $160K-$185K USD. The amount offered will be determined by a variety of factors including but not necessarily limited to your individual skills, qualifications, and past experience relative to the requirements of the role.

As a health technology company, we reserve the right to run a background check on any applicant to whom we extend an offer and to re-perform any such check at any time during the course of employment. Please know that there is no set policy on rejecting candidates because of certain background check results, and that we look at a candidate as a whole before making any decisions. What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
