WHAT YOU’LL DO

The Senior Director of MarComm Operations and Product Development will be a key leader in driving excellence and innovation within the marketing department and Communication Agency. Operating at the intersection of strategy and execution, this role is responsible for managing the performance and optimization of the MarComm department’s effectiveness in order to meet bswift business objectives.

Areas of focus will include developing and refining key operational processes, ensuring consistency in documentation and workflows, overseeing Communication Agency product development initiatives, and acting as an executive sponsor for key clients. This role will be a critical member of the MarComm leadership team, ensuring both operational excellence and client satisfaction.

WHAT YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR (Essential Functions):

Process Development and Standardization

  • Establish and refine consistent processes across the department to enhance operational efficiency.

  • Develop standardized documentation for project kickoffs, debriefs, and other essential client-facing activities.

  • Oversee internal workflows including billing, time tracking, and intake procedures for clients and team members.

  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives to optimize internal and client-facing processes.

Product Development

  • Package existing communication services and develop new product offerings that meet client needs.

  • Collaborate with the bswift product team to align Communication Agency content with broader product strategies.

Vendor and Tech Stack Management

  • Manage vendor relationships and the Agency’s marketing technology stack to ensure effectiveness and value.

  • Evaluate and optimize tools to support evolving departmental and company needs.

Reporting and Analytics

  • Lead the development of reporting frameworks for marketing and Communication Agency efforts.

  • Provide leadership with data-driven insights into billing, success metrics, and pipeline management.

  • Collaborate with business analytics teams to improve tracking mechanisms and internal/client reporting.

Annual Enrollment (AE) Operations Oversight

  • Own AE readiness, ensuring both client and creative teams are prepared.

  • Lead internal debriefs to assess performance and identify areas of improvement.

  • Build resource plans and lead capacity planning efforts to ensure teams are properly supported.

  • Collaborate across functions to forecast project workloads and proactively address bottlenecks.

Client Relationship Management

  • Act as the executive sponsor for key clients, building strong relationships and driving growth.

  • Serve as a strategic partner, providing guidance and insights that help clients succeed.

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED (Required Education and Experience):
  • Proven experience leading operational strategy within a marketing, communications, or agency environment.

  • Strong background in product development and cross-functional collaboration.

  • Demonstrated ability to build scalable, efficient processes that support business objectives.

  • Expertise in analytics and reporting tools, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.

  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple complex initiatives simultaneously.

  • Ability to build and foster client relationships and lead with a customer-centric mindset.

  • 10+ years of relevant experience in marketing operations, agency management, or communications leadership.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.

NICE TO HAVE (Preferred Education and Experience):
  • Experience within a benefits administration, healthcare, or HR technology environment.

  • Master’s degree in a relevant field.

  • Familiarity with martech tools (e.g., Asana, HubSpot, Adobe Creative Suite).

  • Experience with vendor contract negotiation and budget management.

Specific benefit offerings vary by position and may be subject to change.

 

Standard working hours are 8am-5pm Central Time, unless otherwise stated in the Job Description. 

 

 

In the spirit of pay transparency, we are excited to share the base salary range for this position is $140,000-$160,000, exclusive of fringe benefits or potential bonuses.  If you are hired at bswift, your final base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience. In addition to those factors – we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team members as a part of any final offer. Please keep in mind that the range mentioned above is the full base salary range for the role. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical in order to allow for future & continued salary growth. We also offer a generous compensation and benefits package!
