You will be an experienced leader with a technical background, experience driving efficiency through automation and AI, with the ability to inspire and develop teams. You will lead the transformation of Experian's IAM program and will build threat informed defense controls throughout a vast, complex global environment.

You will report to the SVP of Enterprise Access and Business Enablement and the position can be remote in the US.

Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership:

  • Proactively address IAM needs and risks by anticipating challenges from new initiatives, threats, and regulatory changes across on-premises and multi-cloud environments.
  • Transform the IAM operating model by engaging cross-functional partners to identify evolving requirements and influence strategic and architectural decisions.

Team Leadership and Development:

  • Lead and develop a high-achieving IGA & PAM team by mentoring technical experts, defining clear roles and objectives, and encouraging a culture of innovation and collaboration.
  • Optimize team operations through effective resource allocation and project prioritization to ensure successful execution.

Program Management & Execution:

  • Oversee the design, implementation, and operation of scalable IGA and PAM solutions, leveraging automation and AI to enhance efficiency and reduce risk.
  • Ensure strong identity lifecycle management, including access reviews, segregation of duties, and privileged access controls.
  • Establish and track IAM performance metrics, collaborating with teams like audit and compliance to meet regulatory and policy requirements.
  • Manage IAM vendors and tools, while maintaining up-to-date security standards, policies, and procedures aligned with industry best practices.

Operational Excellence:

  • Integrate automation and AI into IAM operations to improve workflows, reduce manual tasks, and enhance incident response efficiency.
  • Enhance user experience and security posture by resolving complex IAM issues and driving user-centric, secure access initiatives.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of progressive experience in Identity and Access Management, with at least 5+ years in a global leadership role.
  • Experience developing and executing multi-year IAM strategies in a global enterprise environment.
  • Deep technical expertise in Identity Governance & Administration (IGA) and Privileged Access Management (PAM) solutions (e.g., SailPoint, Centrify, CyberArk).
  • Demonstrated experience leading technical teams.
  • Experience with IAM protocols and standards (e.g., SAML, OAuth, OIDC, SCIM, LDAP).
  • Experience with cloud IAM capabilities (e.g., AWS IAM, Azure AD).
  • Experience driving automation and using technologies like scripting, APIs, and orchestration tools to improve IAM processes.
  • Understanding of the potential applications of AI in enhancing IAM capabilities.
  • Experience communicating and influencing partners at all levels.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
