As the Senior Director of Global Merchandising, you will be responsible for defining and executing Ruggable's overarching global merchandising strategy. You will champion the global merchandising vision, ensuring deep alignment with overall business objectives and driving maximum business impact across all regions. This role requires a strategic and innovative leader with a strong understanding of global consumer behavior, marketplace dynamics, and a proven ability to build and lead high-performing teams in a fast-paced environment. You will establish a disciplined approach to product categorization, develop strategic line architectures, and partner cross-functionally to deliver compelling and commercially successful product assortments to our global consumers.


What You’ll Do:

  • Talent Creation & Enablement: Build, lead, mentor, and inspire a high-performing global merchandising organization, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, data-driven decision-making, accountability, and collaboration to enable significant and sustainable scale.
  • Global Merchandising Vision and Strategy: Develop, articulate, and champion the overarching global merchandising vision and strategy, ensuring seamless integration with Ruggable's overarching business goals, brand identity, and financial targets.
  • Franchise Management: Establish and implement a clear, consistent, and scalable global framework for categorizing our products, ensuring strategic intention, optimizing product adjacencies, and maximizing business impact and brand cohesion across all regions.
  • Line Architecture: Lead the development of strategic global line architectures, leveraging deep insights into consumer needs, market trends, competitive landscapes, and regional nuances to create product portfolios that drive growth and profitability.
  • Regional Line Planning and Pricing: Oversee the collaboration with regional teams, marketing, supply chain, and finance to translate the global line architecture into effective localized product assortments, considering regional consumer preferences, pricing strategies, and go-to-market execution.
  • In-Season Optimization: Partner with marketplace teams to drive the continuous analysis of product performance globally, identifying key opportunities for optimization, and making strategic, data-backed recommendations to enhance the assortment, improve margins, and drive overall profitability.

What You’ll Need to Have:

Required:

  • 12-15+ years of progressive leadership experience in merchandising, with significant experience in global or multi-regional markets in eCommerce.
  • 5-7 years of experience in a people leadership role
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful global merchandising strategies that have driven substantial revenue growth and profitability.
  • Deep understanding of franchise management, strategic line architecture development, and effective regional line planning in a global context.
  • Demonstrated ability to leverage sophisticated consumer and marketplace insights to inform high-level merchandising strategies and long-term planning.
  • Extensive experience in developing and implementing global pricing strategies that optimize revenue and market share.
  • Exceptional executive leadership skills with a proven ability to build, inspire, and manage high-performing global teams.

Compensation:

$220-280K per year base salary

  • An annual bonus percentage that varies based on level of role
  • Employer matching (up to 3% of base salary) for company sponsored 401K plan
