We're looking for a Senior Director of Content Operations to drive the end-to-end flow of media assets across our global business. Reporting to our SVP of Business Transformation & Operations, you'll turn strategy into action, building scalable workflows, implementing a central PAM/DSC, optimizing vendor partnerships, and leading a “follow-the-sun” model that keeps our content moving smoothly, on time, and at the highest quality.
Core Responsibilities:
- Lead the Content Operations strategy and roadmap with clear quarterly goals and KPIs.
- Manage daily delivery of media assets (audio, video, timed text, marketing) for SVOD, EST, and partner channels.
- Build, coach, and grow a distributed team across Delivery, Media, and Technical Operations.
- Oversee vendor onboarding and performance (including Sony PCL); manage governance and scorecards.
- Drive process excellence - standardize specs, QA, and delivery workflows; reduce manual work.
- Partner with Product, Engineering, and Business Transformation to implement PAM/DSC and tracking tools.
- Design an optimized global resourcing model (Japan, Moldova, and beyond).
- Ensure secure asset handling, compliance, and efficient use of budget and vendor spend.
- Communicate progress, risks, and KPIs through executive dashboards and regular reviews.
We are considering applicants available to work a hybrid schedule, with three days each week onsite at our Los Angeles office.
About YouWe get excited about candidates, like you, because you combine deep media operations expertise with experience leading high-performing teams, scaling processes, and driving results across complex, global workflows.
- 12+ years in content/media operations, distribution, or digital supply chain roles with progressive leadership managing managers, including experience in entertainment, streaming, or global media distribution.
- Deep knowledge of media assets and delivery requirements: video/audio codecs, subtitling/captions, QC, metadata, and packaging for SVOD/EST/GCD.
- Experience implementing or operating PAM/DAM/MAM systems, or managing large-scale media migrations/integrations.
- Strong vendor management skills: contracting, SLAs, scorecards, governance.
- Experience building and scale teams, including hiring, training, and process design.
- Excellent cross-functional collaboration with Engineering, Product, Legal, and Commercial teams; able to bridge technical and business audiences.
- Strong analytical skills; comfortable building dashboards and reporting to senior leadership.
- Experience with follow-the-sun staffing, managing offshore teams.
- Hands-on familiarity with delivery partner ecosystems, vendor tooling, enterprise data workflows, cloud object storage, and media automation (encoding pipelines, QC automation).
- BA/BS required; advanced degree (MBA, MS) a plus.
