Your Role at MediaLab
As Senior Director of Content & Creative Production, you will play a critical role in leading and supporting both the Original Content and Branded Content teams across traditional and non-traditional mediums. Your initial focus will be to ensure that production workflows are smooth, efficient, and adaptable to evolving trends and industry demands—all while serving as a key liaison between the sales and marketing teams to ensure seamless communication on all content-driven initiatives. You will be expected to elevate creativity, strengthen cross-functional communication, and provide strong leadership—ensuring alignment with department heads and the overall strategic goals of the organization.
What You’ll Do
- Lead end-to-end production of original and branded content across traditional, digital, and non-traditional platforms—including off-premise events.
- Ensure workflows are optimized for efficiency, quality, and scalability.
- Implement processes that allow teams to adapt quickly to shifting trends and emerging technologies in content production (e.g., AI).
- Promote a fun, inclusive, and dynamic work environment that values diverse perspectives, fosters curiosity, and celebrates team wins.
- Manage and mentor a small but mighty team of content producers and creatives.
- Foster a collaborative, creative culture that encourages innovation and excellence.
- Establish clear goals, expectations, and success metrics for team members.
- Serve as a bridge between the content, sales, and marketing teams to align production priorities with business objectives.
- Facilitate smooth communication and alignment on content-driven initiatives to ensure on-time execution.
- Partner with internal stakeholders to integrate original content into broader marketing and sales strategies.
- Maintain high standards for creative output, ensuring alignment with brand guidelines, voice, and client expectations.
- Oversee production budgets, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within financial parameters.
What We’re Searching For
- 15+ years of experience managing content and/or branded content teams, preferably in-house.
- Proven experience working with high-caliber artists and/or creators.
- Exceptional organizational and communication skills.
- Extensive knowledge of music, art, culture, creator economy, and current events.
- Strong understanding of video production and social media ecosystems.
- Ability to balance a strong work ethic with a collaborative and joyful approach to the creative process.
- A portfolio showcasing original and branded content work is required.
- Bachelor’s degree (BA or BS) in a relevant field such as Media Production, Communications, Film, Marketing, or a related discipline is preferred.
