Job Summary:
As the Director/Senior Director, Consumer Insights & Data Strategy, you will leverage data to shape strategic decisions across marketing, ticketing, e-commerce, and partnerships. Partnering with senior leaders and cross-functional teams, you will advance the organization’s overall data and consumer engagement capabilities, driving insights in support of revenue growth and long-term business objectives.

Job Responsibilities:
Decision Support: Act as the bridge between technical and non-technical teams, simplifying complex data and formulating actionable insights and recommendations for the organization.   

Models & Use Cases: Deliver broad range of mission-critical analytics use cases across marketing and sales, e.g.: 

  • Fan Segmentation & Personalization: Use behavioral, demographic, transactional and survey data to develop fan segmentation and propensity models, to optimize communication and promotion strategies.
  • Ticketing & Pricing: Develop pricing and sales forecasting models to optimize season-long pricing strategy, dynamic pricing and real-time sales strategies, to maximize revenue and fan growth.
  • Campaign & Partnership Performance: Analyze the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and partnerships, evaluating their impact on fan engagement, brand visibility, and revenue. 

Data Collection & Infrastructure: Organize and structure consumer and fan data from diverse sources, ensuring integrity and value through continuous cleansing, validation and enrichment. Oversee the setup and ongoing maintenance of a centralized data warehouse. 

Visualization & Reporting: Design and maintain dashboards and business reports that communicate key metrics and insights to senior leadership and cross-functional teams. 


Requirements/Skills/Abilities: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in data science, computer science, economics, statistics, or a related field. 
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in data science, business intelligence, or related roles, with a focus on marketing and sales.  
  • Previous experience in the sports or entertainment industry preferred. 
  • Proficiency in SQL, R, Python, and advanced data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI). 
  • Experience developing fan segmentation models, and/or experience working with ticketing systems (e.g., Ticketmaster) and developing dynamic pricing strategies. 
  • Skilled at identifying areas of opportunity, leveraging complex data to extract actionable insights, and driving solutions that enhance business growth. 
  • Strong understanding of business processes, industry trends, and how data-driven strategies impact overall performance. 
  • Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, both independently and in cross-functional teams, to drive business results.

Compensation

In addition to the benefits above, this role has a pay range between $135k to $155k base salary + bonus eligible.
