About the Role

We're looking for a Senior Director of Global Collectibles Product Development to take the strategic lead on the development and management of all Crunchyroll merchandise product releases, managing the franchise planning for key content across Global Commerce, and meeting the Global Commerce department goals and objectives. Reporting to the Vice President of Global Strategy and Development, you'll be responsible for delivering on the strategic and revenue goals for Crunchyroll's portfolio of products, driving the global product strategy, partnering with the analysis team on forecasting by territory, and product plan development for all major franchises.

Core Responsibilities:
  • Lead the global collectibles product pipeline to meet our goals.
  • Work with the Global Commerce Creative team on product lines, yearly planning, themes, and capsule collections.
  • Manage global product development and franchise workflows with key partners.
  • Oversee product managers, the master production schedule, and forecasting for all new releases in partnership with Sales and Distribution.
  • Shape and deliver franchise strategies for priority titles across Global Commerce and the wider company.
  • Partner with Content, Acquisitions, Curation, and Brand Marketing to identify content and business opportunities that drive merchandise growth.
  • Develop annual plans and promotions for Home Entertainment products and ensure smooth execution.
  • Lead the creation of collector's editions and exclusive product campaigns with E-commerce and Marketing.
  • Share insights on category trends—pricing, product formats, retail environments, competitive activity, and best-in-class executions.
  • Work with Sales and Marketing on territory-specific programs and retail opportunities.
  • Review yearly category performance to gather learnings and shape future plans.
  • Oversee sales presentations and monthly product decks by territory.
  • Lead monthly and quarterly cross-team product alignment meetings.
  • Serve on the Global Strategy Leadership Team to help guide long-term Global Commerce strategy.

We are considering applicants available to work a hybrid schedule, with three days each week onsite at our Dallas office.

About You

We get excited about candidates like you - anime fans with deep fandom knowledge and a proven history of developing consumer products and product pipelines.

  • 15+ years of product development experience in a fast-paced, consumer-focused company, including experience creating fan-focused products or working in fan-driven retail environments.
  • You have a track record in consumer product development and building product pipelines.
  • You have experience with franchise planning, managing content lifecycles, and overseeing budgets with ROI evaluation.
  • You have a deep knowledge of anime content, major titles, creators, and fandom culture.
  • You collaborate effectively with colleagues across teams and with external partners
  • You communicate clearly in writing and verbally, including for creative briefs, business plans, and presentations
  • You connect and share ideas effectively with creative, business, and leadership audiences
