What you'll do
Support Senior Leadership Team
- Serve as a trusted advisor, confidential thought partner, and act as a sounding board to the Senior Vice President of Brand as well as his leadership team to drive forward business decisions, results, and team engagement.
- Develop and iterate management practices (Senior Leadership Team and Organization) to enable transparency, efficiency and effectiveness of our organization
- Prepare agendas, coordinate materials, and facilitate management practices and meetings
- Facilitate defining business priorities and strategy drive goal setting effort for the organization, inclusive of cascading information through the organization, managing artifacts, and coordination of regular business reviews of key investments and initiatives
- Ensure the Senior Vice President of Brand and the leadership team's time is focused on the highest leverage activities related to priorities in partnership with administrative assistant team, helping to make connections between teams when applicable
- Develop relationships within direct and extended team members to be able to act as an informed and helpful sounding board and thought partner
Advance Strategic Initiatives
- Launch and then manage department-wide marketing activity intake process (currently in pilot) to allow the Brand Leadership team to oversee intent and prioritize resources against highest leverage activities
- Lead planning activities among the Senior Leadership Team to develop team goals and own reporting of progress throughout the year using appropriate weekly, monthly and quarterly rituals
- Create the structure and content for team meetings and fun activities in coordination with VP team to increase value of events; build and lead the execution of a tower recognition program to foster team culture
- Manage team budget, risk, and legal best practices and processes for Senior VP's team; streamline the process for managing Card and Bank marketing budgets across Brand department
- In partnership with HR and internal People team partners, counsel leadership team on organizational design, change management, and headcount planning processes
- Partner with HR and our internal People team partners to execute key associate activities including Talent & Performance Management, All Associate Survey information gathering and analysis, and managing recruiting pipeline and priorities
- In partnership with Brand Solutions manage team budget, risk, and legal best practices and processes for Managing VP's team
Manage Communications and Special Projects
- Create a calendar of regular communications from Senior Vice President and VP leadership team in partnership with Brand department communications strategies and resources to provide context to team throughout the year
- Partner with the Senior Vice President of Brand to develop internal and external speaking engagement and thought leadership materials with an eye towards evangelizing the disciplines of Brand and the Brand department at Capital One.
- Provide recommendations on ways to improve the advertising creative and production process (in consultation with VP of Advertising) to make it more efficient and less people intensive
- Work with the leadership team and communications team to plan and execute key messages and deliver to internal/external audiences with a high priority on consistent, frequent organizational communications
