The Senior DevOps Engineer will support AWS Edge infrastructure and Serverless applications, enabling adoption of design principles and ensuring optimized content delivery across public websites.
We are looking for Senior DevOps Engineer to join our team.
The role’s primary focus is to support AWS Edge infrastructure, Serverless Applications, Frontend Development Teams, and End to End content delivery for our growing portfolio of public websites. This role will work closely with application teams to enable adoption of Serverless Application Design and to deliver highly cached and SEO optimized content to customers around the globe with low latency. This role requires both depth and breadth in many technologies leveraged in a public cloud environment as well as deep knowledge of HTTP Content delivery, Edge Architecture and JavaScript optimization.
Responsibilities:
- Work collaboratively with application teams by providing technical guidance and consultation to satisfy infrastructure requirements, WebVitals Performance targets, Search Engine Optimization, and troubleshoot code and deployment issues
- Maintain Multi-CDN Delivery for 100+ public sites across a variety of Multi-CDN platforms.
- Creating, maintaining, and improving procedures and runbooks through cross team collaboration
- Lead the adoption and administration of distributed serverless systems through the principles of Infrastructure as Code and 12 factor application design.
- Develop and support DevOps tools through automation using modern programming languages such as Python, or Javascript.
- Collaborate with Infrastructure Architects, Project Managers, and Software Engineering teams to deliver holistic solutions for application deployment and platform adoption
- Incident response, via participation in a 24x7 team on-call rotation.
Requirements:
- 4+ years experience in supporting a 24×7 high-availability AWS production environment
- 2+ years experience UNIX/Linux System Administration
- 2+ years experience with continuous integration and deployment tools, such as GithubActions, Jenkins, AWS Codebuild, and Argo CD.
- In-depth understanding of AWS services, networking, and security technologies
- Experience in full-stack monitoring, metrics collection, and reporting using tools such as Cloudwatch, AWS X-Ray, New Relic, SumoLogic, and Prometheus
- Familiar with the Infrastructure as code philosophy, leveraging such tools as Terraform, CloudFormation or AWS CDK.
- Familiar with source control management tools such as Github
- Deep knowledge of object-oriented programming languages such as Python, JavaScript, or Go
- Experience with agile methodologies and ITIL change management processes
- Good understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle and 12 Factor app design
- Experience with Multiple Multi-CDN Hosting Platforms
- Deep understanding of AWS Lambda and Serverless Design Patterns
