What You’re Applying For:
Edmunds is seeking a Senior Data Analyst to generate actionable insights from large data sets, measure business performance, and identify areas of optimization.
This role provides analytic support for tools that help Edmunds partnered dealers engage with their customers more effectively. It also involves analyzing initiatives that broaden how Edmunds assists customers throughout the entire car buying and selling journey. This offers the opportunity to work on innovative projects, support new revenue streams, and closely collaborate with internal business partners. Analytic projects include deep dive explorations, evaluating A/B tests, opportunity sizing new products, measuring impact, and modeling.
The ideal candidate will be a creative problem-solver who enjoys wrangling data, juggling multiple projects, and helping internal clients achieve results. Curiosity and business intellect are a must.
What You’ll Do:
- Partner with product owners to understand and optimize user engagement.
- Create reports and data sources that equip product teams to do self-service analytics
- Integrate complex data from multiple sources such as clickstream, sales, revenue, and third parties
- Translate broad business questions into coherent analyses
- Clearly visualize and communicate analysis for both executive & technical audiences
- Help the business interpret and make informed decisions based on A/B experiments
What You Need:
- High SQL competency with experience in efficient querying, transforming, and building data from big-data environments
- Organization, time management, and project management skills with ability to multitask and balance competing priorities
- Experience building and managing relationships with multiple stakeholders
- Cohesive and engaging data storytelling through visualizations, writing, and presentations
- Critical thinking and problem solving. Ability to find multiple paths to a solution
- Discernment in balancing high attention to detail with quick turnaround times needed in fast paced environments
- 5+ years of analytical experience with expertise in web analytics
- Experience with Tableau, Amplitude, and Excel is a plus
The compensation range for this position is $111,000 - $141,000 per year. The base pay will take into account internal equity as well as job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
