The Mission

We are seeking a Sr. Customer Solutions Architect to partner with our sales team. The right candidate is someone who has broad and deep AWS expertise and a proven ability to establish themselves as a trusted advisor to existing and potential customers. You're passionate about AWS and love working backwards with our customers to drive their business forward. Your mission will be to help determine and communicate solutions to our customers goals, and to collaborate with and enable AWS pursuit teams.

Your Assignment
  • Lead deep dive architecture & design sessions with customers and propose Well-Architected solutions.
  • Author proposals and statements of work that capture customer requirements & constraints and ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Educate customers & evangelize AWS through blogs, white papers, webinars, presentations, and direct customer engagement.
  • Ability to win significantly complex pursuits and interact with strategic stakeholders.
  • Provide mentorship to CSA peers, and provide guidance on more complex/strategic pursuits.
  • Proactively contribute to the advancement of team best practices and processes.
Your Qualifications
  • 7+ years of experience architecting, building, and operating solutions on AWS.
  • 10+ years of experience with infrastructure, application, database, and/or networking architecture.
  • Ability to assess and align business and technical strategy with customer needs.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Superb presentation & workshop leadership skills, ability to tailor conversations to technical SMEs through executive leadership audiences.
  • Expert understanding of cloud-native patterns and Well-Architected best practices.
  • Ability to travel up to 25% (conditions permitting).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with highly-available, fault-tolerant architectures.
  • Experience with IT compliance frameworks and requirements (e.g. PCI, HIPAA, GDPR, security).
  • Previous experience in pre-sales or equivalent company-internal strategic roadmap influence.
  • AWS Solutions Architect Professional and AWS DevOps Professional, AWS Specialty Certifications.
  • Deep domain expertise in Application Development, Data, or DevOps.
  • Industry vertical expertise (e.g. FinTech, HealthCare, Oil & Gas).

The base salary range for this position is CAD $163,000 - $185,000. If you are hired at Caylent, your base salary is determined on factors such as skills, experience, geographic location, and other market conditions. While it's not typical for offers to be made at the top of the range, please keep in mind that the base salary range is only one component of your overall compensation. Additionally, you are eligible for the benefits, bonuses, and incentives as listed above in the job description!
