This position partners across Credit Risk, Portfolio Management, Finance, Enterprise Risk Management, Credit Administration, and Technology to provide meaningful insights into portfolio performance and emerging risks. The ideal candidate combines deep credit expertise, strong quantitative capabilities, and the ability to translate complex risk data into actionable insights for senior leadership.
              WHAT YOU'LL DO:

              • Design and enhance enterprise-wide credit risk analytics, monitoring, reporting, and governance frameworks that support proactive identification and management of portfolio risk.

              • Develop comprehensive portfolio analytics including segmentation, risk migration and trend analysis, stress testing, scenario analysis, and evaluation of performance across industries, geographies, products, business lines, and borrower segments.
              • Develop quantitative approaches to concentration risk management, including risk limits, thresholds, escalation protocols, and mitigation strategies informed by portfolio diversification, loss expectations, capital impacts, correlations, historical performance, and stress testing.
              • Develop and maintain risk appetite metrics, KRIs, KPIs, and Early Warning Indicators that provide timely visibility into asset quality, risk rating migration, concentrations, delinquencies, non-performing assets, underwriting quality, portfolio growth, and emerging risks.
              • Lead the development of executive and Board-level credit quality reporting and dashboards, translating complex portfolio data into clear, actionable risk insights for senior management and risk committees.
              • Leverage business intelligence, analytics, and visualization tools to enhance and automate portfolio monitoring and reporting capabilities.
              • Ensure credit risk methodologies and reporting align with credit policies, regulatory guidance, risk governance standards, and internal control expectations; support regulatory examinations, audits, independent reviews, and model validation activities.
              • Serve as a strategic advisor and subject matter expert to Credit Risk leadership, providing independent challenge and recommendations related to portfolio risk, credit strategy, concentrations, and emerging risk.
              • Lead complex cross-functional risk initiatives and provide mentorship and technical guidance to analysts and other risk professionals.

              WHAT YOU'LL BRING:

              • 10+ years of progressive experience in Credit Risk Management, Credit Analytics, Portfolio Risk Management, Enterprise Risk Management, Commercial Banking, or a related discipline.
              • Demonstrated experience designing, implementing, or enhancing dual risk rating systems and working across the credit lifecycle.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

              • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
              • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
              • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
              • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
              • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
              • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
